Lyrics

Yahweh Worshippers
Lesson 1
Who They Are
by Lawrence DeMetrius

Everyone has a primary source of reliance. In every generation there is a select few to whom this source is Yahweh THE ETERNAL SELF-EXISTENT CREATOR of all. Moses writes,

In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth.
[Gen 1:1]

Yahweh is the God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ, by whom HE created and sustains all things. Apostle John writes,

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.
[St Jn 1:1-3]

While many fail to acknowledge Yahweh as they should, no one can altogether
dismiss HIS sovereignty, as in HIM all things live, move, and have their being. Apostle Paul writes,

For in Him we live, and move, and have our being;
[Acts 17:28]

All creation bears Yahweh’s signature and is made for HIS pleasure, even the wicked. King Solomon writes,

The Lord hath made all things for Himself. Yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
[Pro 16:4]

Mortals who come to Yahweh by faith in HIS Christ, become new creatures and are reconciled to HIM as exclusive worshipers. Apostle Paul writes,

Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And all things are of God, Who hath reconciled us unto Himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us <Yahweh Worshippers> the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
[II Cor 5:17-19]

Yahweh is fully aware of each individual HE creates. HE knows everyone better than anyone, including one's own self. HE is cognizant of their innate nature with its flaws, frailties and strengths. Apostle Paul said in Ephesus at Mars Hill,

God, that has made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the Lord, if haply, they may feel after Him and find Him, though He be not far from every one of us.
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being.
[Acts 17:24-28]

Mortals who are born again of Yahweh's Word and Spirit, worship HIM because HE predestined them to do so, according to HIS will. Apostle John writes,

But as many as received Him <Christ>, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them, that believe on His Name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[St Jn 1:12, 13]

Yahweh sent HIS Christ to empower HIS worshiper to practice righteousness and live abundantly now and forevermore. Enoch writes,

And in that place, mine <Enoch’s> eyes saw the Elect One of righteousness and of faith <Christ>, and I saw His dwelling-place under the wings of the LORD OF SPIRITS <Yahweh>.
[Eno 39:9]

He <Christ> shall be a staff to the righteous whereon to stay themselves and not fall.
[Eno 48:6]

The Lord Jesus said,

I am the Vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
[St Jn 15:5]

Yahweh molds HIS exclusive worshiper to the image of HIS Christ, by Whom they are become HIS sons, kings and priests. Apostle Paul writes,

For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
[Rm 8:29]

Apostle John writes,

And from Jesus Christ, Who is the Faithful Witness, and the First begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His Own Blood,
And hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever
Amen.
[Rev 1: 5, 6]

While the whole duty of mortal kind is to revere and obey Yahweh, most will choose to remain captives of Lucifer.
King Solomon writes,

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep HIS commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[Eccl 12:13]

The Lord Jesus said,

He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
[St Jn 3:18, 19]

Jesus speaks of the greatness of those who obey and teach His FATHER'S directives. He said,

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
[Mt 5:19]

THE LORD daily regenerates HIS worshipers by HIS Word and Spirit. They are empowered to be expressions of HIS glory and effective witnesses of Christ HIS Word. Christ said,

But you shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
[Acts 1:8]

As Yahweh worshipers are spiritually born again of HIM, WHO is a CONSUMING FIRE, they possess HIS spiritual likeness and are in spirit flames of fire.

Moses writes,

For The Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
[Deut 4:24]

Jesus Christ said,

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick: and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let Your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
[Mt 5:14-16]

The word that Yahweh worshipers speak is also consuming fire, which destroys all that oppose Yahweh and HIS Christ. Apostle Paul writes,

See that you refuse not Him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spoke on earth <the inspired prophets of God>, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from HIM that speaketh from heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire.
[Heb 12:25-29]

Per Apostle Paul, Yahweh worshipers are living sacrifices that are holy and acceptable unto HIM. He writes,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
[Rm 12:1, 2]
The righteousness and prosperity of Yahweh’s worshipers are founded in HIM and manifest as they obey HIS principles. They are likened to trees planted by rivers of water, that bear fruit in their season, and leaves that never wither away. Prophet Isaiah writes,

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Me, saith the Lord.
[Isa 54:17]

King David writes,

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
[Ps 1:1-3]

Fruit is likened to spiritual insight that comes forth from one's heart or soul and can be served as spiritual food, be it good or evil. Jesus said,

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
[Mt 12:35]

But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundred, some sixty, some thirty.
[Mt 13:23]

Prophet Isaiah writes,

The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: He wakeneth morning by morning, He wakeneth my ear to hear as the learned.
[Isa 50:4]

Leaves indicate the vitality or liveliness of a tree and are figurative of works that can be used to administer spiritual healing. Jesus Christ said,

But he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds may be made manifest that they <deeds> are wrought in God.
[St Jn 3:21]

As Yahweh worshipers are restored to divine worship, they are to maximize their mortal lifetime by…

1. Wisely redeeming the time allotted them under the sun. Redeem in the Greek is Gk#1805 exagorazo (ex-ag-or-ad-zo), which is to buy up, ransom, rescue from loss and improve opportunity. Apostle Paul writes,

Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
[Eph 5:16]

2. They are to do so by practicing AGAPAO love, which is right doing first toward self and then towards others. Apostle John writes,

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
[I Jn 3:18]

3. They are to do so by safeguarding the purity of their heart through thankful prayer and forgiveness. Apostle Paul writes,

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
[Phil 4:6]
The Lord Jesus said,

For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
But if you forgive not men, their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
[Mt 6:14, 15]

4. They do so by honestly acknowledging, confessing and repenting of their wrongdoings. Apostle John writes,

If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
[I Jn 1:8-10]

5. They do so by remaining free from the power of sin in their carnal nature, which is accomplished by remaining wholly preserved in Christ Jesus. Apostle Paul writes,

Oh, wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death.
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
[Rm 7:24, 25]

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly <W-H-O-L-L-Y>; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[I Thes 5:23]

6. They do so by expecting the manifestation of what THE LORD desires them to have. Apostle Paul writes,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
[Heb 11:1]

Apostle John writes,

And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:
And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.
[I Jn 5:14, 15]

7. They do so by remaining devoted to effective scriptural study. Apostle Paul writes,

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[II Tim 2:15]

8. They do so by severing relations with people, places, things and practices that hinder their progress in divine worship. Apostle Paul writes,

…let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith;
[Heb 12:1b, 2a]

Every mortal who practices such is a genuine Yahweh worshiper.
