Defining Spirit, Mind and Renew

In relation to spiritual renewal, one must consider the literal meaning of the words SPIRIT, MIND, and RENEW.

Moses writes of the wind like nature of mortals imparted by Yahweh, after their physical body is formed. Moses writes,
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.

King Solomon writes,
Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Yahweh is the source of life for all creation, especially human beings. Apostle Paul writes,
God that had made the world and all things therein, seeing that He is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands.
Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, seeing He giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
For in Him we live, and move, and have our being; …
[Acts 17:24, 25, 28]
Not only is the Word of God the means by which HE created all things, but It is the only means by which spiritual life can be restored to mortals. Apostle John writes,
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.
In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He came unto His Own, and His Own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us <the Original Apostles of Christ> and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

While Lucifer's authority is to kill, steal and destroy, it is the authority of Christ the Word to destroy Lucifer's power and restore life to mortals who desire spiritual renewal. The Lord Jesus said,
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they <His spiritual brethren> might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
[Jn 10:10]
To reiterate the word VITAL pertains to life and PNEUMA or SPIRIT is also defined as VITAL PRINCIPLE.

One's MIND must be RENEWED to a state that is acceptable to Yahweh, if they desire favorable disposition with HIM. There are three words in the ancient Greek language for the word, RENEW. ANAKAINIZO Gk #340 (an-ak-ahee-nid-zo), ANAKOINOO Gk #341 (an-ak-ah-ee-no-o) and ANANEOO Gk #365 (an-an-neh-o-o).

Christ Jesus teaches that no one can enter into Yahweh’s kingdom unless they do so as a little child.
He said,
Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
[Mt 18:2]
This childlike disposition is the state of readiness wherein one is willing and able to be RENEWED with the divine insight, that became obscured when mortals were infected with forbidden knowledge. Unfortunately, the dual mind became the inheritance of all descendants of Adam, which include all people born into the world after him. Moses writes,
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
[Gen 2:17]
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat.
[Gen 3:6]
Because of Yahweh’s great grace, the dual mind can be subdued during one’s mortal lifetime by faith-filled obedience to Christ the Word. Apostle Paul writes,
Therefore, as by the offence of one <Adam> judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one <Christ the Word> the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
[Rm 5:18]
The Lord Jesus said,
The Spirit of The Lord is upon Me because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of The Lord.
[Lk 4:18, 19]
If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]
The dual mind has the character of Lucifer, its author and father. Moses writes,
And he <Lucifer per the serpent> said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

Jesus Christ said,
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.
[Jn 8:44]
Mortals who have yet to subdue the dual mind through spiritual RENEWAL, are deemed the spiritually blind children at Lucifer. Apostle Paul writes,
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the Image of God, should shine unto them.
[II Cor 4:3, 4]
The dual mind is altogether self-centered, self-serving and subject only to that which yields eternal death. It is filled with arrogance and ungodly pride.
It is nurtured by sin, with the imagination that none other but itself should be pacified, including Yahweh.
Apostle Paul writes,
For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
<Why?> Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

In the natural, a newborn child rarely responds to its caregivers with disdain. Innately, the child responds to its nurturers in a manner that expresses its need for their loving paternal and maternal touch, without which it can die. Innately, the child learns who its nurturers are in ways that do not require words they can neither speak nor understand. This is the same with spiritually born-again children, who without extensive knowledge about Yahweh, innately know that HE is their ABBA, FATHER. The Lord Jesus said,
No man can come to Me, except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me.
…no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father.
[St Jn 6:44, 45, 65]
Apostle Paul writes,
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.
[Rm 8:14-17]
