Matthew 6:24-34
One’s Master of Choice
Jesus Christ continues His lesson on HEAVENLY INVESTMENTS, stating that no one can SERVE two MASTERS. He advised that one must choose to HATE the one and LOVE the other. Or, to HOLD to one and DESPISE the other. No one can SERVE Yahweh and MAMMON, the god of avarice who is Lucifer. This statement is clear and concise.

Born-again believers have received the spiritual revelation that Yahweh is the source of their holistic well-being. Christ is cognizant that all mortals require temporal substance and admonishes them, namely His disciples saying,
Take no thought for your life what you shall eat or drink; or for your body, what you shall put on.
[Mt 6:25, 31, 32]
These are the very items Lucifer used to tempt Eve, Job and Jesus Christ in their time of testing. [Gen 3; Job 1:6; Mt 4:1-11] Lucifer practices this seduction today, in attempt to keep or lure souls into idolatry.

In this passage, Christ is admonishing His brethren to be certain that their need for any beneficial thing will be met. He commands them to never be ANXIOUS about securing such things, especially as do unbelievers. They are not to worry even about clothing their physical body. Their primary focus is to be set on having and maintaining the KINGDOM of GOD and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS. [Mt 6:33]

Per Apostle Paul, Christ Himself is the RIGHTEOUSNESS Yahweh has established for HIS Elect and that which HE expects them to be focused on. Apostle Paul writes,
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, to declare HIS righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that HE might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[Rm 3:23-26]
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
[Rm 10:4]
But of HIM are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and RIGHTEOUSNESS, and sanctification, and redemption:
[I Cor 1:30]
Jesus Christ is clear that there is no limit to the provision of GOD in one’s life, when their highest priority and focus is HIS KINGDOM and RIGHTEOUSNESS. Christ further states,
TAKE therefore NO THOUGHT for the MORROW: for the MORROW shall TAKE THOUGHT for the things of itself. SUFFICIENT unto the day is the EVIL thereof.
[Mt 6:34]

Per Jesus Christ, there is enough challenge from EVIL in each day, that one should not be concerned about that of the MORROW. The best way to embrace each new day is with THANKSGIVNG unto THE LORD for what HE has already provided for the current day’s journey. Prioritizing and focusing on Yahweh and HIS KINGDOM and RIGHTEOUSNESS helps one to do this, and secures both temporal and eternal substance.
