Letter of Apostle Mark
An Intimate Review
Pt 6
By Lawrence DeMetrius
In [Mk 13:18-27] Apostle Mark writes that some Hebrew leaders did not believe in the idea of resurrection. Christ addressed their disbelief with a parable, which explained that their disbelief was due to not KNOWING the SCRIPTURES nor Yahweh’s POWER. [Mt 5:19; Hos 4:6; Isa 64:6] As noted by Apostle Matthew, they adopted and taught man-made traditions in place of Yahweh’s instructions. There are many who stand in the position of divine teachers and are not. This is why it is important for born-again believers to prayerfully continue in effective scriptural study. [Jn 6:44, 45; 8:31, 32, 36; II Tim 2:15, 26; 3:16-18; Rev 3:7, 8] It has always been a mandate of Yahweh for HIS worshipers to be focused on information provisioned by HIM through HIS scribes and prophets, from Enoch to Christ and His Original Apostles. This practice becomes increasingly vital as the Final Day of Judgment approaches. [Jos 1:8; Rm 10:9, 10, 14, 15, 17]

In [Mk 13:24] Apostle Mark presents a primary reason why disciples of Christ are given the Holy Ghost as a guide. First of all, the Holy Ghost only glorifies Yahweh’s Word and is commissioned to bring it back to the remembrance of HIS children, namely that taught by Christ. [Jn 14:26; 16:13; I Cor 2:4] Because many Hebrew leaders did not KNOW the SCRIPTURES as they should have, they also lacked knowledge of Yahweh’s POWER and PRINCIPLES. In [Mk 13:25] Christ expounds upon the subject of resurrection and the nature that righteous souls inherit when they transition to immortality.
The Greatest Commandments of All
In [Mk 12:28-34] Christ expounds upon the greatest of all divine commandments. He begins by commanding Israel and true believers to acknowledge that Yahweh ALONE is ONE LORD. [Rm 11:16-25; 4: 16, 17; Gal 3:8, 9; St Jn 1:12, 13; 6:37-40, 44, 45; 10:16] He reiterated that Adam is the father of all nations and that Yahweh was worshipped long before Israel was a nation. After declaring this truth, Jesus Christ explained that the only way one can LOVE Yahweh is with all of their HEART, SOUL, MIND and STRENGTH.
