Letter of Apostle Mark
An Intimate Review
Pt 1 – The Ministry of John the Baptist
By Lawrence DeMetrius
Per [Mk 1-3:35] Yahweh appoints a specific task to each of HIS Elect fitting to their unique selves. Apostle Mark expounds upon the task of John the Baptist, the cousin and forerunner of Jesus Christ. As it was for Christ, so it was for the person and purpose of John the Baptist in regard to prophecy concerning him. [Mal 4:5, 6; Mt 11:14] He BAPTIZED people who were willing to confess and be forgiven of their sins. The water baptism they received of John was figurative of that which they would later receive of Christ, after completing His mission on Calvary. Christ is the only One Who can BAPTIZE with the Holy Ghost, who is given only to them who believe on Him as the scriptures have said. [Mt 3:11; Jn 7:37-39; 14:16, 17, 26; 16:7-11, 13, 14; Act 1:8; 2:1-16]

• to make overwhelmed and fully wet
• the ordinance of Christian baptism and a ceremonial ablution, which is a cleansing with water or other liquid, especially as a religious ritual and the liquid thus used
In [Mk 1:9-11] Apostle Mark notes the signs given to John the Baptist by Yahweh, which signified that Christ was HIS Son and prophesied Messiah. In [Mk 1:12, 13] He also notes the Wilderness Experience of Christ as did Apostle Matthew. It is an experience that all sons of GOD undergo, in order to fully recognize and embrace who they are in Yahweh’s perspective. It is also necessary to effectively combat satanic forces, which are set to destroy and/or hinder their spiritual perfection and public ministries. [Mt 6:34; Jn 10:10a; Jam 1:2-4] Apostle Mark notes per [Mk 1:14, 15] that the sons and messengers of THE LORD will not depart the terrestrial plain until their appointed work is completed. Shortly after completing his mission, John the Baptist was officially removed from the earth by unjust imprisonment and death. When he transitioned to immortality, Christ enhanced John’s ministry in becoming The Way of Righteousness for all mortals. [Rm 3:26; 10:1-4; I Cor 1:30] John’s primary message was, “Prepare ye the way of the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.”
However, Christ changed it to,
The TIME is FULFILLED, and the KINGDOM of God is AT HAND: REPENT ye, and BELIEVE the GOSPEL.

In [Mk 1:16-45; 2:1-22] Apostle Mark notes the call of proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is only ascribed to those who are chosen by Yahweh to do. [Rm 10:14, 15] Those who are truly sent by THE LORD to TEACH the genuine DOCTRINE of Christ, ASTONISH people who experience their AUTHORITY as anointed oracles of Yahweh and not mere SCRIBES. Jesus Christ taught His disciples by example and in private sessions. Effective scriptural study reveals information that literally ASTONISHES people, and invokes liberation from all lying persuasions including erroneous interpretations, translations, allegories and man-made traditions presented as divine ordinances. [Jn 8:31, 32, 36; II Tim 2:15; 3:15-17] Yahweh sent Jesus the Christ to reiterate and provide proper knowledge and understanding of the words HE spoke through HIS prophets and scribes, from Enoch to Christ and His Original Apostles. [St Jn 1:1-14; Mt 4:12-17; 11:27-30; II Cor 4:3-7; 10:4, 5; Act 17:22-31; Rev 18:23] It is information that for the most part is plain and simple to understand. It is information that has been proven in many ways throughout generations to be true. [Heb 1:1, 2] Per Apostle Peter, it is a word that is completely inspired by the Holy Ghost and is not subject to anyone’s private interpretation. [II Pet 1:20]
Yahweh planted HIS Word of Wisdom in the earth through Enoch, who was born in the 7th generation from Adam, which was ions before Egypt or Israel were conceived. [Eno 37] Genuine teachers of GOD and their authority are clearly recognized per Yahweh’s intervention. This alone warrants great fame for Oracles of THE LORD, whether or not they welcome it. [Mt 5:12-16, 19] In [Mk 1:23-45] Apostle Mark reiterates how vital it is for divine teachers to do as did Christ and teach only what Yahweh tells them to. In fact, per [Mk 2:1, 2] Apostles Mark and Paul note that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only gospel accompanied by power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost. No other gospel is accessorized with this divine gratuity. [I Cor 2:1-4; Jn 16:13; 3:34] Jesus Christ taught a very specific doctrine, which is fully supported by divine, who came before Him beginning with Enoch. Apostle Mark notes that Jesus Christ had no problem engaging marginalized or non-religious audiences and neither should genuine messengers of His Gospel. [Mk 2:15-22; II Tim 2:24-26; Acts2:47; Mt 13:19-23; Jam 1:25] In [Mk 2:23-28; 3:1-12] Apostle Mark expounds upon the importance of simply knowing what the Holy Scriptures say. He notes historical references which state that ritualism is never to dominate but be properly appropriated in one’s life. Jesus Christ refers to such an example when certain unbelieving Hebrew Scribes ill-judged Him, when they saw His disciples picking corn on the Sabbath Day, because they were hungry and wanted a bite to eat. In so doing, He exemplified how proper understanding of the Scriptures can empower one in times of false accusation. [Jn 8:31, 32, 36; II Tim 2:15; 3:16-18] As it relates to gifts and callings, Apostle Mark notes per [Mk 3:13-21] that such gratuities are appropriated according to divine delegation. While Christ had many disciples, only Twelve of them were chosen to receive private lessons from Him and were charged with certain abilities and responsibilities in administering His Gospel. Also noted in the passage is that Judas Iscariot being one of the twelve who received great delegation, betrayed Christ so that divine prophecy might be fulfilled. This gives credence to the idea that gifts and callings can be bestowed upon one without repentance. [Rm 11:29] Apostle Matthew notes wonder workers who are still innately wicked in Yahweh’s perspective and deemed workers of iniquity. [Mt 7:15-23] Thus, the Elect of GOD are admonished not to permit themselves to be bewitched by charisma and outward appearances. They are to remain focused on His DOCTRINE. In so doing, they are empowered to mark and guard their minds from the anti-Christ spirit and its philosophers. [II Jn vs 7-11; I Jn 2:18, 19; 4:1-6]
In [Mk 3:22-30]
Apostle Mark expounds upon THE UNPARDONABLE SIN, which is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost, the only Means by which effective Christian living and teaching can be done. [Act 1:8, Rm 8:9] In [Mk 3:21, 31-35] Apostle Mark notes that Jesus of Nazareth, as a mortal being, did have blood relatives, some of whom did not believe He was the prophesied Christ. When these were specifically pointed out in attempt to discredit His Divinity, Christ clarified that His true family members are they who are devoted to the fulfillment of Yahweh’s will. In so doing, He emphasized that SPIRITUAL RELATION is superior to BLOOD RELATION in Yahweh’s perspective.
