Letter of Apostle John – Revelation
An Intimate Review
Pt 1
By Lawrence DeMetrius
The Revelation and Second Advent of Jesus Christ
In [Rev 1:1] Apostle John writes about the REVELATION given to the glorified Christ by Yahweh, for the purpose of SHEWING it unto HIS earthly SERVANTS. This REVELATION is not purposed for non-believers. Per divine intervention, non-believers do not have the capacity to recognize such insight. [Dan 12:10] Christ then SENT and SIGNIFIED the TESTIMONY by an ANGEL, who disclosed it to Apostle John during his exile on the Isle of Patmos. [Rev 22:16] Noted immediately is that Yahweh is still communicating to mortals through HIS SERVANTS, as HE always did from Enoch.

In [Rev 1:2, 3; 22:7, 9, 10, 18, 19] Apostle John clarifies that anyone who does not believe in Yahweh, Christ, the Holy Ghost, angelic beings or any of THE LORD’S ancient scribes and prophets, will not BELIEVE this REVELATION and TESTIMONY. Jesus Christ also expounded on this belief per Apostle John’s Gospel. [St Jn 3:19, 36; 5:39, 45-47; 8:12, 24; Eze 18:4, 19, 21-23, 32; Rm 1:18, 19; 2:7-11]
Even this disbelief is prophetic for those who are perishing from THE LORD’S delightful presence. [Isa 1:18-20; Dan 12:10; Ps 14:1; Pro 1:7; I Cor 1:18] Nevertheless, there is a special BLESSEDNESS that rests upon those who diligently READ, HEAR, and KEEP the words of this PROPHECY, because the time it speaks of is at hand. [Mt 5:19; Jm 1:21-25] Apostle John writes,
BLESSED is he that READETH, and they that HEAR the WORDS of this PROPHECY, and KEEP those things which are written therein; for the TIME is AT HAND.

In [Rev 1:4] Apostle John begins to present the PROPHECY, addressing Seven Mega Churches established in the Roman province of Asia. However, the directives given are noteworthy for Christians of every generation, from thence to the Second Advent of Jesus Christ. The characteristics of each Church are figurative of attitudes and mindsets that can be in any Christian at any given moment. Thus, it behooves each one to examine or check themselves, so they might adjust their temperament to that of the Church of Philadelphia when need be. While everyone’s final day under the sun varies, the Final Day of Judgement and Recompense will be the same for all. [Eccl 12:12, 13; Rev 20:11-15] Apostle John notes that there is a SPIRIT or ANGELIC BEING for each Church positioned at Yahweh’s throne, awaiting HIS command to execute some catastrophic act on earth. In His salutation to each of the Seven Churches, Christ is addressed with certain epithets. [Rev 1:5, 6]

In [Rev 1:7] Apostle John is sharing detailed information that is directly related to Christ’s Second Advent. Everyone on earth will witness this event as noted by an angel at Christ’s ascension back to Yahweh after His resurrection. [Acts 1:9-11] It will be glorious to some and terrorizing for others. In [Rev 1:8] As Yahweh discloses this REVELATION to Christ, HE reiterates WHO HE is. Christ then relays the REVELATION to His angelic servant, who then relays it to Apostle John. Ultimately, the message is coming from Yahweh, THE FATHER, WHO is ALPHA and OMEGA, BEGINNING and ENDING. Yahweh is the OMNIPOTENT ONE which is, which was, and which is to come, THE ALMIGHTY. Apostle John notes that he received this REVELATION while exiled on the Isle of Patmos for being a WITNESS and TEACHER of Jesus Christ. [Rev 1:9, 10] Christ then begins to speak to Apostle John through His angelic servant, which is physically described. [Rev 1:1]. The LOGOS being relayed by Christ through the angelic being is Yahweh’s. As He did in His mortality, He continued to speak what Yahweh told Him to in His glorified state. [Rev 1:11, 17, 18; Jn 12:44-50] Christ then explains to Apostle John that the seven stars are figurative of seven angels appointed to each church, which are likened to candlesticks.
*angels Gk # 32 aggelos (ang-el-os) it is a messenger, angel or pastor
The primary LOGOS to Christian Assemblies first comes to then delivered through the ANGEL or PASTOR assigned to each by the Holy Ghost. Therefore, as was Moses to Israel, the PASTOR of each flock is Yahweh’s mouthpiece thereto. While no PASTOR is expected to LORD over THE LORD’S flock, but be an example of a mature and wise worshiper of GOD, anyone anticipating membership at any Christian Assembly, must be prepared to respect the leadership of the House, namely the ANGEL Yahweh has placed over it. [I Pet 5:1-6] As it relates to these seven churches in Asia in Apostle John’s Day, necessary correction begins at the Yahweh’s Household. Apostle Peter writes,
For the time is come that judgement must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
[I Pet 4:17, 18; Rm 1:1-3]
