Letter of Apostle Paul – Romans
An Intimate Review
Pt 1
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Apostle Paul Declares Himself to Roman Christians

In [Rm 1:1-7] Apostle Paul mentions certain things about himself, some of which relate to all born-again believers.

1. He is a SERVANT of Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ asks all who come unto Him to yoke themselves to Him. In so doing they will receive rest, kind mastery and enlightenment from Him. [Mt 11:28-30; Rm 8:5-9; 6; 12:1-3; Jam 4:7] It is impossible to live in the capacity of a SERVANT of Jesus Christ if one willingly remains SUBSERVIENT to their carnal nature. To become a worshiper of Yahweh as is Christ, one must be and remain spiritually renewed in mind. [Rm 8:5-9; St Jn 4:23, 24]

2. He is a SERVANT who was CALLED to APOSTLESHIP.

This refers to both the Christian mission and those CALLED to serve therein. [Mt 28:18-20]

3. He is SEPARATED to the GOSPEL of GOD concerning Jesus Christ, Who HE confirmed through HIS prophets and HOLY SCRIPTURES.

There are many GOOD MESSAGES that are relevant to the holistic wellbeing of mortals. However, none supersede The Gospel of Jesus Christ, as it is the only gospel that when mixed with faith, can restore mortal souls to divine worship. [Exo 20:3; Eccl 12:13; Jn 4:23, 24; 14:6; II Cor 5:17-19] It is the only gospel that has been consistent from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles. Per Apostle Peter, it is a gospel that has no private interpretation. Thus, it’s true and simple meaning can be properly known and understood by all. [Eno 14:3; 37; Lk 24:44, 45; Rm 1:18, 19; II Pet 1:20]

4. He realized that the POWER by which Yahweh DECLARED Christ to be HIS Son was manifested per HIS act of RESSURECTING Him from the DEAD.

*dead Gk #3498 nekros (nek-ros) as an adjective it is that which is dead, meaning no longer living, deprived of life, brain-dead, not endowed with life, inanimate, as a noun, it is the dead, meaning a period of the greatest darkness or coldness, dead and dead persons collectively

This describes what all mortals became per the sin of Adam. [Gen 2:9, 17; 3:1-6]
Blessedly, the Word that was responsible for their creation is also their Means of restoration to spiritual life and divine worship. [Eccl 12:13; St Jn 1:1-4, 12-14; 3:16-20, 36; 4:23, 24; 8:12, 31, 32, 36; 14:6; I Jn 3:8; 5:4-11]

Effective administration of The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an expression of divine worship. THE LORD CALLS whom HE wills to serve in this capacity. [Rm 10:14, 15] In [Rm 1:11-15] Apostle Paul notes that it was his earnest desire to be and fellowship with them who are CALLED to be saints and IMPART SPIRITUAL GIFTS unto them that affirm their FAITH. This was also the desire of the Original APOSTLES of Jesus Christ. [Eph 4:1-13] Genuine servants of THE LORD are empowered and expected by Christ to IMPART SPIRITUAL GRATUITIES to one another. [Mt 10:8] As they mature in Him, their value as Christian teachers increase. They are never to be stingy with their insight but be ready, willing and able to share it with all who desire it. In regard to The Gospel of Jesus Christ Apostle Paul writes,

For I am not ASHAMED of the gospel of Christ: for it is the POWER of God unto SALVATION to everyone that BELIEVETH; to the Hebrew first, and also to the Greek.
For therein is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God REVEALED from FAITH to FAITH: as it is written, the just shall live by FAITH.
