An Intimate Review
Pt 2
By Lawrence DeMetrius
In [Rm 1:18; St Jn 3:19, 20, 36; I Jn 5:16-18] Apostle Paul provides reasons for his strong conviction of Christ’s Gospel. One of the reasons is that by it the WRATH of GOD is revealed against all UNGODLINESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS of men who HOLD the TRUTH in UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

Yahweh loathes UNGODLINESS and UNRIGHTEOUSNESS because it opposes all that HE desires for all creation, namely mortals. It also discards divine worship, which is the primary duty of mortal all beings. [Eccl 12:13] In [Rm 1:18-20] Apostle Paul notes that mortals HOLD divine TRUTH in their UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. He clarifies that what may be KNOWN of Yahweh is MANIFEST in mortals because HE SHOWS it to them HIMSELF. [Pro 20:27; 24:12; St Jn 3:19, 20; Acts 17:28]

Per Apostle Paul, all mortals know enough about THE LORD to realize that remaining enslaved to the power of sin will result in their ultimate demise. This is why born-again believers are forbidden to argue with mortals who willing reject Yahweh’s invitation to be reconciled to HIM through Christ. [St Jn 3:19, 20, 36] No one loves mortals more than Yahweh, WHO is committed to imparting the information needed for them to be restored to divine worship. [Eze 18:23, 32; St Jn 3:16; I Cor 3:7, 8; II Cor 5:18-20; I Pet 3:9] Only HE can give the mind of repentance, which empowers one to rightly recognize Christ for Who and what He is and deliver themselves from Lucifer’s snares. However, HE only does so at reverent acknowledgment of HIS testimony concerning Christ. [II Tim 2:24-26; I Jn 5:4-11] To the unrepentant and blind mind, declaration of The Gospel of Jesus Christ is foolish. [I Cor 1:18; II Cor 4:3; 10:4, 5] In [Rm 1:21-32] Apostle Paul writes about the quality and degradation of consciousness within those who prefer idolatry over divine worship. In [Rm 1:21] He reiterates that the degradation of consciousness increases within unrepentant sinners BECAUSE they know that Yahweh is THE SUPREME GOD but fail to GLORIFY HIM as such.

Being UNTHANKFUL fosters an irreverent attitude toward Yahweh. The incubation of the irreverent mindset was first present in Cain, the firstborn son of Adam and Eve. He presented an offering to THE LORD which was rejected because it was improperly offered. Although Yahweh gave Cain opportunity to present his offering properly, he chose to nurture an ungrateful and UNTHANKFUL attitude in anger toward Yahweh, which evolved into a murderous mindset. [Gen 4-6] Cain’s experience exemplifies how consequential being UNTHANKFUL can be. It is rare that THANKSGIVING is rendered to someone who does not deserve it. THANKSGIVING rightly given and received is greatly recognized. There is never a moment when mortals do not have reason to be THANKFUL unto THE LORD, as in HIM, they all live, move and have their being.
Because Yahweh is the vital principle of one’s living, being and provision, they always have reason to be THANKFUL unto HIM. [Gen 2:7; Acts 17:27] However, as did Cain, instead of being THANKFUL and accepting opportunity to do right, many mortals become VAIN in their IMAGINATIONS, which causes their FOOLISH HEARTS to BECOME DARKENED.
*became vain Gk #3154 mataioo (mat-ah-yo-o) it means to render or become foolish, morally wicked and idolatrous
*foolish Gk #801 asunetos (as-soon-ay-tos) it means to be unintelligent, wicked and without understanding

*darkened Gk #4654 skotizo (skot-id-zo) it means to obscure
A consequence of BECOMING VAIN and FOOLISH in one’s IMAGINATION is enslavement to a DARKENED HEART. All idols and idolatries are generated from DARKENED MINDS. Due to their deception, these rebellious MINDS believe and PROFESS themselves WISE, when in fact they have become FOOLS. [Rm 1:22]
*professing Gk #5335 phasko (fas-ko) it means to assert or affirm
