Letter of Apostle Paul – Romans
An Intimate Review
Pt 4
By Lawrence DeMetrius
In [Rm 1:28] Apostle Paul explains that because idolaters do not like to RETAIN Yahweh in their KNOWLEDGE, HE gives them over to a REPROBATE MIND so they may do things that are not CONVENIENT to themselves and one another.
*retain Gk #2192 echo (ekh-o) it means to hold as possession, ability, contiguity, relation or condition
*knowledge Gk #1922 epignosis (ep-ig-no-sis) it is recognition, full discernment and acknowledgement
*reprobate Gk #96 adokimos (ad-ok-ee-mos) it means unapproved, rejected and worthless
*mind Gk #3563 nous (nooce) it is intellect, the mind be it divine or human, thought, feeling, will, meaning and understanding
*convenient Gk #2520 katheko (kath-ay-ko) it means becoming, proper, appropriate, suitable and gives a pleasing effect or attractive appearance
In [Rm 1:29-32] Apostle Paul explains that one who inherits the REPROBATE MIND will embrace and become filled with all UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, inclusive of the following. [Tit 1:16, 17]
*unrighteousness Gk #93 adikia (ad-ee-kee-ah) it is the act and quality of legal injustice and moral wrongness of character, life and conduct
*fornication Gk #4202 porneia (por-ni-ah) it is harlotry, prostitution, adultery and incest
• harlotry and prostitution are…
o the acts or practice of engaging in sexual intercourse for money
o base or unworthy use of one’s talent and abilities
• adultery is voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than their lawful spouse
• incest is…
o sexual intercourse between closely related persons
o the crime of sexual intercourse, cohabitation or marriage between persons within the degrees of consanguinity or affinity wherein marriage is legally forbidden
consanguinity is…
• relationship by descent from a common ancestor

any person or thing regarded with blind admiration, adoration, or devotion
a mere image or semblance of something visible but without substance
a figment of the mind or fantasy
a fallacy and false conception or notion
o excessive or blind adoration, reverence and devotion
Those with REPROBATE MINDS willingly engage in conduct that is contrary to their own innate nature and do so in homage to IDOLS.
*wickedness Gk #4189 poneria (pon-ay-ree-ah) it is….
• depravity, which is the state of being or an act that is depraved, which is corrupt, wicked and perverted
• malice, which is desire to inflict injury, harm or suffering on oneself or another by hostile impulse or out of deep-seated meanness
• plots, which is hostile, unlawful or evil purpose

any deception and trickery
a person who makes deceitful pretenses
• extortion is the crime of obtaining money or some other thing of value by the abuse of one's office or authority
All of these falls under the definition of COVETOUSNESS. It is doing whatever one believes is necessary to get what they desire but in bad ways.
It supports the idea of DAIO, which is the practice of being distributed temporal fortunes per demonic activity, in exchange for satanic worship. Lucifer has always used DAIO to recruit worshipers. He attempted it with righteous people like Job and even Jesus Christ. [Job 1:6; 2:6; Mt 4:1-11] Satanic powers practice DAIO with mortals of all generations, especially unregenerated sinners. [Mt 6:24; I Jn 2:15-17; Mt 16:24-26] It is very true that some mortals devote their souls to Lucifer in exchange for temporal gains. [Jn 3:19, 20, 36; Rm 6:23; Jam 1:13-15; Gal 6:7, 8]

INVENTORS per Apostle Paul’s statement, is referring to those who seek, create and carry out methods of doing evil things.
*disobedient Gk #545 apeithes (ap-i-thace) it is a person who is unpersuadable and contumacious
• persuade is to convince, induce to believe by appealing to one’s reason or understanding and to urge a person to do something advisable
• contumacious is being stubbornly perverse, rebellious, willfully and obstinately disobedient
The DISOBEDIENT here are people who simply refuse to change their mode of thinking or doing, no matter how much they are advised to do better.
*without understanding Gk #801 asunetos (as-soon-ay-tos) it means unintelligent, foolish and without understanding
Apostle James writes about the WISDOM that comes from above, which no one will receive of THE LORD unless they sincerely desire and ask HIM for it. [Jam 1:5-8; Heb 11:1, 6] This is likely why King Solomon advised that it is futile to admonish FOOLS in the ways of RIGHTEOUSNESS. FOOLS are people who know what is right but CHOOSE to do what is wrong. [Rm 1:18, 19; Pro 8:17-21, 35, 36; 23:9; 24:7, 12; 29:4, 5] This is also why the Elect of GOD are not to offer their PEARLS OF KNOWLEDGE, which is the HOLY THING, to those who have no desire for it. [Mt 7:7-11] Nor are they to DEBATE the legitimacy of Christ’s Testimony with those who do not reverently acknowledge it. [II Tim 2:24-26; II Cor 4:3-7]
*covenant breakers Gk #802 asunthetos (as-oon-thet-os) it means not agreeable and treacherous to beneficial agreements or covenants
*without natural affection Gk #794 astorgos (as-tor-gos) it is hard-heartedness or being without feeling, mercy or pity for one’s own relatives
Jesus Christ warned that one’s worst enemies could be among their own blood relatives. [Mt 10:36]
*implacable Gk #786 aspondos (as-pon-dos) it means without libation, which usually accompanies a treaty, being without a truce and a truce-breaker
• libation is a pouring out of wine or other liquid in honor of a deity and the liquid poured out
• treaty is…
o a formal agreement between two or more states in reference to peace, alliance, commerce or other international relations
o the formal document embodying such an international agreement
o any agreement or compact
• truce is…
o a cease-fire or suspension of hostilities for a specified period by mutual agreement of the warring parties and an agreement establishing this
o a temporary ceasing from trouble or pain
LIBATION in Ancient Israel was a drink offering that was part of ancient Judaism and is mentioned in the Bible. One such occurrence is when Jacob set up a pillar in a place where Yahweh spoke with him. It was a pillar of stone whereupon Jacob poured out a drink offering and oil. [Gen 35:14] There are people who strive to destroy or BREAK peaceful agreements to invoke discord, which is among the top seven sins that Yahweh hates the most. [Pro 6:19]
*unmerciful Gk #415 aneleemon (an-eleh-ay-mone) it means having no mercy
In [Rm 1:32] Apostle Paul concludes this portion of the letter, clarifying that all who practice or take PLEASURE in them who practice such acts, know they are worthy of DEATH.
*death Gk #2288 thanatos (than-at-os) it is the act of dying, end of life, total and permanent cessation of all vital functions and the state of being dead, extinct, destroyed or dying
*pleasure Gk #4909 suneudokeo (soon-yoo-dok-eh-o) it means to think well of in common, assent to and feel gratified with
Such is the relation between the children of disobedience concerning idolatry and idolatrous practices.
