Letter of Apostle Paul – Galatians
An Intimate Review
Pt 4
By Lawrence DeMetrius

In [Gal 5:22, 23] Apostle Paul expounds upon WALKING in the SPIRIT encouraging born-again believers to utilize the FRUIT of the Holy Ghost which is FULLY accessible to them as brethren of Christ.

*fruit Gk #2590 karpos (kar-pos) it is fruit as plucked

Per this definition, the FRUIT of the Holy Ghost is fully ripe, plucked and ready to be consumed. They who choose to be LED by the Holy Ghost have full access to His FRUIT, which is not a normal phenomenon but superior to the mortal nature. It is indeed strange, different, uncommon and extraterrestrial, meaning it is not of this world. The FRUIT of the Holy Ghost is from the highest dominion, where Yahweh sits and from which Christ was originated. [Jn 8:23] The following are elements of the FRUIT of the Holy Ghost, which are uniquely His Own.

*love Gk #26 agape (ag-ah-pay) it is…
• affection which is…
o the emotional realm of love
o fond attachment and devotion
o sentiment and feeling
o the act of affecting, influencing and acting upon
o the state of being affected and the affective aspect of a mental process

• benevolence which is…
o desire to do good to others
o goodwill and charitableness
o an act of kindness and a charitable gift

• a love-fest hosted by the Holy Ghost Himself

o something that gives joy and gladness

o the act of promoting and inducing cheer
o that which is ungrudging, pleasant, bright and hearty

• calm delight which is…
o a high degree of pleasure and enjoyment
o something that gives great pleasure
o rapture which is…
 ecstatic joy and ecstatic delight
 the carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence
 the act of carrying off

*peace Gk #1515 eirene (i-ray-nay) it is…
• peace which is…
o an agreement or treaty between warring or antagonistic nations and groups, to end hostilities and abstain from further fighting or antagonism
o a state of mutual harmony between people or groups, especially in personal relations
o the normal freedom from civil commotion and violence of a community
o public order and security
o cessation of freedom from any strife or dissension
o freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction, anxiety and obsession
o tranquility and the state of tranquility
o serenity and the state of serenity

• prosperity which is…
o a successful, flourishing or thriving condition, especially in financial respects
o good fortune

• rest, quietness, one and a setting at oneness again [Mt 11:28, 29; Jn 14:27; 17:22, 23]

There is a quality of PEACE the Holy Ghost shares with Yahweh and Christ. [I Jn 5:7, 8] He shares this PEACE with the brethren of Christ. Mortals who choose to remain subject to Lucifer cannot receive divine PEACE neither should they expect any element of it. No one should be at PEACE when they are not reconciled to ONENESS with Yahweh through faith filled obedience to Christ. [Jn 3:19, 36; 14:6, 17] Yahweh desires for all souls to be reconciled to divine PEACE and ONENESS with HIM. [St Jn 3:16; II Cor 5:18, 19; II Pet 3:9; Heb 7:25 I Jn 2:1, 2; 5:20] As PROSPERITY is an element of the FRUIT of the Holy Ghost, it is not inordinate for born-again believers to desire it. They should expect manifestations of the PROSPERITY OF THE HOLY GHOST in their lives now and forevermore. Yahweh intends for them to experience PROSPERITY but only according to HIS will. [Pro 8:14-21; Mt 6:19, 20, 33; Jn 8:26; 10:10; I Tim 6:11, 16-18; I Jn 5:14, 15, 21]

*longsuffering Gk #3115 makrothumia (mak-roth-oo-mee-ah) it is…
• longanimity which is patient endurance of hardship, injuries or offense

• forbearance which is the act of forbearing, which means to…
o refrain, abstain and desist from
o keep or hold back, withhold and endure
o be patient or self-controlled when subject to annoyance and provocation
o abstain from the enforcement of a right

• fortitude which is mental and emotional strength in courageously facing difficulty, adversity, danger and temptation

*gentleness Gk #5544 chrestotes (khray-stot-ace) it is…

• deportment which is the conduct or obedience of a child in school as graded by a teacher

One’s CONDUCT is strongly affected by what or who has influence over them. When the Holy Ghost has influence within one’s heart, His GENTLENESS will be reflected in their character.

*goodness Gk #19 agathosune (ag-ath-o-soo-nay) it is…

o the state and quality of being good
o moral excellence and kindly feeling
o kindness, generosity and excellence of quality
o essence, strength and the best part of anything
• virtue which is…
o moral excellence, goodness and righteousness
o conformity of one's life and conduct to moral and ethical principles
o a good or admirable quality or property and uprightness
o effective force, power and potency
• beneficence which is charity, active goodness, kindness and doing of good

*faith Gk #4102 pistis (pis-tis) it is…
• persuasion and credence
• moral conviction of religious truth, truthfulness of Yahweh or a religious teacher
• reliance upon Jesus Christ for salvation and constancy in such profession
• the system of religious truth based on the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Born-again believers possess the unique FAITH of the Holy Ghost pertaining to Yahweh and Christ. Responding per one’s personal FAITH is one thing while responding per that of the Holy Ghost is another. The Holy Ghost has full revelation of Yahweh and Christ. When one has full revelation of a thing, there is no room for doubt regarding the altruism of that thing. Thus, by WALKING in the FAITH of the Holy Ghost, one actually taps into the highest quality of FAITH accessible to mortals.

*meekness Gk #4236 praotes (prah-ot-ace) it is gentleness and humility…
• gentle is being…

o being modest and not proud or arrogant
o having a feeling of insignificance, inferiority and subservience
o being of humble origin and courteously respectful
o small in size or low in height and level
o modest in the opinion or estimate of one's own importance and rank

This is what mortals become again in relation to Yahweh as their ABBA, FATHER upon spiritual regeneration. [Mt 5:5; Rm 8:14-18]

*temperance Gk #1466 egkrateia (eng-krat-i-ah) it is moderation, self-control, self-restraint and abstinence, especially in sexual activity

The Holy Ghost quickens the entire mortal being spirit/mind, soul/seat of sentiment and physical body. [Rm 8:9] With His TEMPERANCE born-again believers are empowered to control their actions and reactions. Apostle James teaches that mortals are tempted when drawn away by their own carnal desires and enticed. [Jam 1:13-15, 21-25] By the FRUIT of the Holy Ghost the Elect are empowered to present their bodies alive, holy and acceptable unto Yahweh through Christ. [Jn 15:5; Rm 12:1-3; II Cor 12:9]
