Letter of Apostle Paul – Galatians
An Intimate Review

In [Gal 1:1-5] Apostle Paul notes that he was not appointed to apostleship by men but by Yahweh and Jesus Christ. It is vital for true Christian teachers to know without doubt that they are CALLED by GOD to serve in whatever office HE appoints them to. Even the Lord Jesus was challenged concerning His CALL as King of Israel and Savior of the world. [Mt 4:1-11; 27:1, 2, 11-26] It is certain His brethren will also be challenged concerning their divine CALLINGS. Making their CALLING sure begins with knowing without doubt that it is ordained of THE LORD. As it relates to the CALL of Jesus Christ Apostle Paul writes,

And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia,
Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who GAVE Himself for our SINS, that He might DELIVER us from this present EVIL WORLD, according to the WILL of GOD and our FATHER: to WHOM be GLORY for ever and ever. Amen.

In [Gal 1:6-9] it is apparent that there were some Christians in Galatia who were allowing themselves to be influenced by FALSE APOSTLES and PERVERTED GOSPELS. To these wayside believers Apostle Paul writes,

I marvel that ye are so soon removed from HIM that called you into the grace of Christ unto another GOSPEL.
Which is not another; but there be some that TROUBLE you, and would PERVERT the GOSPEL of Christ.
But though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other GOSPEL unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be ACCURSED.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other GOSPEL unto you than that ye have received, let him be ACCURSED.

Per [Gal 1:7-9; II Jn vs 7-11] there are many GOOD GOSPELS. Unfortunately, there are also many GOSPELS that are not GOOD and are specifically purposed to PERVERT the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ. Per Apostle Paul there is only one genuine Christian GOSPEL and it is that which was provisioned by Christ Himself and initially published by His Original Apostles. However, in spite of this fact there arose anti-Christ teachers who began to TROUBLE Christian communities by distributing PERVERTED Christian GOSPELS. Thus, Apostle Paul admonishes the brethren of Christ to consider all GOSPELS not given to them by Christ and His Original Apostles, ACCURSED be they endorsed by mortal or ANGELIC MESSENGERS. In [Gal 1:10-24; 2] Apostle Paul then expounds upon the nature of the true GOSPEL of Jesus Christ. He presents the idea that it cannot be effectively preached by MEN PLEASERS. The GOSPEL of Jesus Christ is specific. When it is effectively proclaimed, it may invoke great divides and persecution for those who herald it. Apostle Paul writes,

For do I now persuade men, or GOD? Or do I seek to PLEASE MEN? For if I yet PLEASED MEN, I should not be the servant of Christ.
But I certify you, brethren, that the GOSPEL which was preached of me is not after man.
For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the REVELATION of Jesus Christ.
But when it pleased GOD, WHO separated me from my mother’s womb, and CALLED me by HIS grace,
To REVEAL HIS Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen; immediately I CONFERRED not with the flesh and blood <relatives and countrymen>.
[Gal 1:10-12, 15, 16]

In [Gal 1:13, 14, 23, 24] Apostle Paul reviews his own personal belief and behavior prior to his conversion. He attests that it was heavily influenced by Judaism, which was deemed the religion of the Jews. As long as he zealously upheld his religiosity, he was highly praised of those who embraced the same belief and behavior. However, when he received REVELATION knowledge from Yahweh about the Person and Purpose of Jesus Christ, he noted that he did not seek consultation or validation of his personal REVELATION of Christ with anyone, including the Original Apostles of Christ. Indeed, he was fully convicted within his own heart that his personal experience with Christ was genuine. His personal experience with Yahweh concerning Christ was necessary in order to carry out his calling. This is the same for every born-again believer. [II Chr 16:9; Jn 6:37-40, 44, 45, 65] Upon his conversion, Apostle Paul became equipped of THE LORD to effectively teach the pure GOSPEL of Jesus Christ, even in times of great persecution. [Gal 1:16, 17] He is now recognized and honored by Christians worldwide, as one of the greatest teachers of the pure Gospel of Jesus Christ. In [Gal 2:16, 20] per his argument with Apostle Peter, he insisted that one can only obtain eternal salvation by FAITH filled obedience to and the FAITH of Jesus Christ. It is not based on practicing religious rituals like circumcision.

As glorious and liberating as IT is, the GOSPEL and FAITH of Jesus Christ is specific, given by and pertains only to Him. The Lord Jesus explains the real reason why many reject Him and His GOSPEL saying,

I speak that which I have seen with My FATHER: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
Ye do the deeds of your father.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it.
He that is of GOD heareth GOD’S words: ye therefore hear them not, BECAUSE ye are not of GOD.
[Jn 8:38, 41, 44, 47]

Those who wholeheartedly receive and believe Christ and His GOSPEL do so because they were predestined by Yahweh to do so from the beginning of the world. They were predestined to become HIS spiritual sons and brethren of Jesus Christ Who said,

All that the FATHER giveth Me SHALL come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
For I came down from heaven, not to do Mine Own will, but the will of HIM that sent Me.
And this is the FATHER’S will which hath sent Me, that of all which HE hath given Me, I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
And this is the will of HIM that sent Me, that everyone which SEETH the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
No man can come to Me, except the FATHER which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of GOD. Every man therefore that HATH HEARD, and hath LEARNED of THE FATHER, cometh unto Me.
Therefore, said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My FATHER.
[Jn 6:37-40, 44, 45, 65]

Apostle Paul writes,

And we know that all things work together for good to them that LOVE GOD, to them who are the CALLED according to HIS purpose.
For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover, whom HE did predestinate, them HE also CALLED: and whom HE CALLED, them HE also justified: and whom HE justified, them HE also glorified.
[Rm 8:28-30]

Per all the above, it behooves the born-again believer to know without doubt WHO CALLED THEM.
