In [Eph 5:22-24; Col 3:18-4:1] Apostle Paul gives instruction and reason of Christian conduct in domestic family and business affairs. WIVES are to SUBMIT themselves unto their own HUSBANDS as unto THE LORD.

Yahweh expects HIS daughter to willingly SUBMIT to the man who chose to serve her as HUSBAND. Yahweh put this ordinance in place in Eden and ordained for the HUSBAND to be the HEAD of his WIFE. This ordinance is exemplified between Christ and His Church. In most scenarios, the woman is invited to occupy the office of a WIFE by a hopeful suitor. Thus, it is right and wise for her to consider whether or not her suitor is worthy of her SUBMITTANCE. More importantly, her potential HUSBAND should reflect the essence of Jesus Christ, Who is her divine HEAD and SAVIOR. Proper discernment of godly character and spirituality is foremost when considering a proper mate. HUSBANDS are to LOVE their WIVES, even as Christ LOVES the CHURCH and GAVE Himself for it. [Eph 5:25]

The word HUSBAND is synonymous to the word MAN. Per Moses’s account, those who desire the sacred covenant of MARRIAGE are wise to let Yahweh choose their partner. [Gen 2:18-24] As noted throughout Biblical history, MARRIAGES that are DIVINELY ORDAINED are durable until death. When Yahweh founds a MARRIAGE, the partners therein will equally benefit therefrom, making it easy for each partner to SUBMIT to one another as required of THE LORD. Apostle Paul admonishes HUSBANDS to LOVE their WIVES as Christ LOVES the CHURCH. This LOVE involves extremely high MORALS and SOCIAL display. Thus, a MARRIAGE RELATIONSHIP is to be open and transparent for everyone in each partner’s personal network to see. Friendship is the foundation of MARRIAGE and Yahweh is adamant about the wellbeing of beneficial friendships. In fact, HE loathes any entity that destroys such relationships. [Pro 6:19] Christ also reiterates that no one is to put ASUNDER what Yahweh puts together. ASUNDER in ancient Greek #5563 is CHORIZDO (kho-rid-zo), it means to place room between, part, go away and separate. [Mt 19:6] In [Eph 5:27] Apostle Paul explains that Christ LOVED the Church to the point of giving His life for it, so He might PRESENT it GLORIOUS to Himself HOLY and without SPOT, WRINKLE or BLEMISH.

In [Eph 5:28, 29] Apostle Paul teaches HUSBANDS to LOVE their WIVES as they do their own body. In doing so, they express the LOVE they have for themselves. The Golden Rule is to LOVE others as one does themselves. King Solomon suggests that LOVING one’s own soul is LOVING THE LORD and being committed to HIM above all. [Pro 8:17, 32-36; Mt 22:37, 38] Christ is given as the perfect example of such LOVE in that He LOVES and LOVED His Wife the Church unto death. Apostle Paul notes that no MAN in his right mind HATES his own body. A man in his right mind NOURISHES and CHERISHES his body as Christ does the Church.

In [Eph 5:30-33; Gen 2:18, 24] Apostle Paul reiterates the ONENESS that should be displayed in MARRIAGES ordained by Yahweh. In HIS perspective, partners in MARRIAGE become one body and are no longer separate units. However, in order for the unit to function properly, they must be subject to Yahweh’s instruction for MARRIAGES HE ordains. In [Eph 6:1, 2] Apostle Paul notes that children are to OBEY and HONOUR their parents IN THE LORD.

When Yahweh gave HIS initial Commandments through Moses, HE made it clear that parents are responsible for teaching their children HIS principles. When this is done, divine promises will manifest for their children if they are obedient. On the other hand, the consequence of generational curses will manifest when children are taught principles that are contrary to THE LORD’S. [Deut 6:3-15, 20:21:9; Pro 22:6] Yahweh is fully cognizant that not all parents are subject to HIM. Therefore, HE does not expect disobedient people who happen to be parents to teach HIS principles to their children. By nature, children are products of what they hear and see be it good or evil. It is nearly impossible for them to adhere to instruction they have not received. Therefore, parents referred to in this discourse are people who love THE LORD and adhere to HIS directives. Apostle Paul is admonishing children to especially OBEY and HONOUR the instruction of parents who are ‘IN THE LORD’. THE LORD will grant children deliverance from obligation to OBEY any instruction taught by ungodly parents. A child has but to call on THE LORD for help in the Name of Jesus Christ and HE will send guidance and help somehow, some way. In [Eph 6:2, 3] Apostle Paul reiterates that children are to OBEY their parents IN THE LORD because it is RIGHT. By doing so, they will inherit WELLNESS and LONG LIFE.

In [Eph 6:4] Apostle Paul warns PARENTS, namely FATHERS, not to PROVOKE their children to WRATH but to bring them up in the NURTURE and ADMONITION of THE LORD.

Per these definitions, Yahweh intends for children to be in a safe space of proper training. Effective parenting is most possible when parents present themselves to their children in a manner that will inspire them to highly CHERISH and VALUE them. The primary element that helps parents to do this is to rear their children up in the NURTURE and ADMONITION of THE LORD. Yahweh’s LOVE expressed through each family member invokes proper reverence and service toward each member of a domestic family. In [Eph 6:5-9] Apostle Paul offers counsel on proper conduct between EMPLOYERS and EMPLOYEES. In such relations he instructs SERVANTS i.e., EMPLOYEES to be OBEDIENT to their MASTERS i.e., their EMPLOYERS.

SERVANTS are to express their OBEDIENCE to their MASTERS in a manner of FEAR and TREMBLING. [Eph 6:5]

Per this discourse, Apostle Paul is referring to one’s level of respect to those who can create or destroy opportunity for their gain through honorable employment. It is usually the responsibility of hiring managers to recognize the value in the ones they hire. There is no benefit in a CONTROLLER hiring an assist to help them be productive in business then mistreat them.
Vice Versa, it is futile for an employee to obtain employment then fail to be productive and insubordinate to the one who hired them. First of all, born-again believers, be they employees or employers, are to entreat one another with utmost respect because they are sons of GOD. Second of all, proper protocol is to be practiced because it is RIGHT in Yahweh’s perspective. Apostle Paul adds that Christians are to work with SINGLENESS of HEART as unto Christ doing the WILL of Yahweh. They are not to WORK with EYESERVICE like MENSPLEASERS. [Eph 6:5, 6]

Yahweh is not impressed with outward appearances or random acts of feigned devotion. HE always judges the innate nature of one’s heart. [I Sam 16:7; Pro 20:27; Jn 7:24; II Tim 2:19; Heb 5:14] Apostle Paul notes that working with GOOD WILL is advisable because it invokes GOOD WILL from THE LORD. [Heb 6:7, 8]

Here Apostle Paul likens the EMPLOYMENT relationship to a MARRIAGE relationship.
In both relationships all parties have an obligation to act in genuine KINDNESS, which has much to do with being USEFUL. There is also the divine law of reaping what is one sows. [Gal 6:7; Mt 25:14-30; Lk 16:1-13] Finally, Apostle Paul admonishes MASTERS or EMPLOYERS to express proper respect and conjugal duties to their subordinates. Because they have much influence over the quality and earnings from their work, EMPLOYERS should also FORBEAR THREATENING their EMPLOYEES. Surely, Yahweh does recognize the manner in which they entreat them.

EMPLOYEES who are properly entreated are more likely to recognize their EMPLOYERS as honorable leaders, who are worthy of their best productivity and support. Apostle Paul then reminds MASTERS that Yahweh, THE HEAVENLY MASTER, has no respect of persons. [Rm 2:11]
