Letter of Apostle Paul – II Thessalonians
An Intimate Review

In [II Thes 1] Apostle Paul continues to express admiration toward the Church of Thessalonica for their whole hearted devotion to Yahweh and HIS Christ even in the midst of great persecution. He states that their suffering was a token of THE LORD’S approval of judgment upon those who yielded themselves to evil as tools of persecution against them. It also served as a token of HIS approval of their calling into HIS eternal graces. In [II Thes 2:1, 2] Apostle Paul offers comfort to the Church of Thessalonica by admonishing them with knowledge of Christ’s Second Advent. [II Thes 1:10-12; Heb 9:28] It is knowledge all Christians are to be inspired by especially in the heat of persecution. [II Thes 1:6-9] In [II Thes 2:3] Apostle Paul expounds upon the primary indicators of Christ’s Second Advent writing,

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a FALLING AWAY first, and that MAN OF SIN be REVEALED, the SON OF PERDITION;

It is important to know that Christ’s Second Advent is not going to happen until many resolve in heart to renounce Christ and His Faith. As born-again believers expound upon this prophetic event, they are to stand firm and be not SWAYED therefrom, even as they see many within their personal networks depart from The Christian Faith. [Mt 19:29; Heb 12:1-3] At the appointed time, the SON OF PERDITION will become universally renowned. He will be possessed by Lucifer and entirely devoted to the work of blasphemy against Yahweh and Jesus Christ. [Rev 13:5] He will OPPOSE and EXALT himself ABOVE all that is CALLED and WORSHIPPED as GOD.

The SON OF PERDITION will make himself appear to be as Yahweh by SHEWING himself as such and SITTING in TEMPLES initially devoted to Yahweh.

For an appointed time the SON PERDITION will EXALT himself ABOVE ALL forms of religion, including Christianity. Until this time, Lucifer tolerates all forms of religions on earth. This is why there are many ways that seem right to mortals but actually lead to The Second Death. [Pro 14:12; Mt 7:13, 14; St Jn 3:36] The SON OF PERDITION will establish himself as a SUPREME DEITY in every place initially devoted to solemn worship to a deity, namely Yahweh. In [II Thes 2:5, 6] Apostle Paul notes that the WITHOLDING of the SON OF PERDITION is to the benefit of the Elect.

Clear revelation of THE SON OF PERDITION, his INIQUITY and WORK will only be imparted to Yahweh’s Elect ones. [Dan 12:3, 10; Mt 11:28-30; Jn 8:13]

Apostle Paul writes,

Only HE who now letteth will let, until he be TAKEN out of the WAY.
[II Thes 2:7b]

He who LETTETH and LETS refers to the One Who HOLDS a thing DOWN to keep it from being REVEALED before the appointed time. Per this discourse, it is THE HOLY GODHEAD that HOLDS DOWN the SON OF PERDITION until it is time for him to be REVEALED. In [II Thes 2:8a] Apostle Paul reiterates that this WICKED SON OF PERDITION will only be REVEALED at an appointed time. Thus, he cannot and will not be recognized for who he really is until Yahweh permits him to be.

In [II Thes 2:9-12; Isa 54:16] Apostle Paul reiterates that the REVELATION of the SON OF PERDITION will occur with POWER, SIGNS, LYING WONDERS and DECEIVABLENESS OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS in them who are PERISHING per the WORKING of Lucifer. [I Cor 1:18; II Cor 4:3]

The WORKINGS of the SON OF PERDITION are devised to deceive. [Mt 7:22; II Cor 11:3, 4, 13-15] An example of such WORKING was displayed in the courts of Pharaoh when his hired sorcerers threw down their shafts, which became serpents. [Exo 4:3; 7:9, 10, 15] These evil WORKINGS will allege that Lucifer is worthy of reverence and worship. Only divine intervention can SAVE one from such DELUSION. There is an appointed time when those who resolve to forfeit SALVATION through Christ, will be given a mind to fully embrace lies as divine truth. In so doing, they willingly inherit for themselves the fate of Lucifer, which is The Second Death. [II Thes 2:11, 12; Ps 16:11; Pro 8:17-21, 32-36; St Jn 3:19, 36; 8:24; Rev 20:10, 15] Apostle Paul coins this DELUDED MIND the REPROBATE MIND. [Rm 1:21, 28] In [II Thes 2:8b] Apostle Paul notes that Christ will CONSUME the SON OF PERDITION with the SPIRIT of His MOUTH and DESTROY him with the BRIGHTNESS of His COMING. [Rev 19:11-16] Thus, no matter how great his influence will be, the SON OF PERDITION is already defeated by Christ and His Church. [Mt 16:18; Lk 10:19]

In [II Thes 2:13, 14] Apostle Paul notes that those who RECEIVE the LOVE of the TRUTH which SAVES were chosen to inherit SALVATION. They receive SALVATION through SANCTIFICATION of the Holy Ghost and BELIEF in Christ the divine TRUTH. In so doing they OBTAIN His GLORY. [St Jn 1:1-4,11-14; Jn 14:6; 17:17; I Jn 5:7; I Jn 3:3; Rev 19, 13, 16]

In [II Thes 3:3-15] Apostle Paul admonishes all born-again believers to continue in faithfulness to THE LORD and HIS WORK. He also advised as a method of correction and not hatred, the withdrawal from fellowship of those who continually act out of protocol proper to the Christian Household.
