An Intimate Review

In [I Pet 2:4, 6] Apostle Peter provides scriptural proof of his statement regarding Christ as the CHIEF, ELECT and PRECIOUS CORNER STONE of Yahweh. [Isa 28:16] The account gives credence to his dedication to scriptural study as commanded by Christ for all of His true disciples. [Jn 8:31, 32] Apostle Peter writes,

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a CHIEF CORNER STONE, ELECT, PRECIOUS: and HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED.

Apostle Peter notes that Yahweh recognizes HIS ELECT as PURE and PRECIOUS as is Christ. [I Jn 1:8-10; 2:1, 2; 3:1-3; II Cor 12:9]

Apostle Peter writes,

Unto YOU therefore which BELIEVE HE is PRECIOUS: But YE are a CHOSEN GENERATION, ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, and HOLY NATION, a PECULIAR PEOPLE; that you should shew forth the praises of HIM WHO hath called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light:
Which IN TIMES PAST were NOT a people, but ARE NOW THE PEOPLE OF GOD: which had NOT OBTAINED MERCY, but NOW HAVE OBTAINED MERCY.

Every person in their own right is a BUILDER of sort. However, only those who BUILD their house upon Christ, the CHIEF CORNER STONE CHOSEN by Yahweh, can survive the storms of mortal life and stand before Yahweh in eternal glory. [Mt 7:24-27; 10:34; Rm 2:2-7] In [I Pet 2:7b, 8; Rm 2:1-7; 9:15-26] Apostle Peter expounds upon BUILDERS who REJECT Jesus Christ as Yahweh’s CHIEF CORNER STONE writing,

…but unto them which be DISOBEDIENT, the STONE which the builders DISALLOWED, the same is made the HEAD of the CORNER, and a STONE of STUMBLING, and a ROCK of OFFENCE, even to them which STUMBLE at the WORD, being DISOBEDIENT: whereunto also they were APPOINTED.

Per these definitions, it is clear that Christ is the CHIEF CORNER STONE Who distinguishes the ELECT of GOD in every generation. Only those who are preordained of Yahweh can become HIS sons and be revealed as such per their acceptance of Jesus Christ. [Mt 11:27-30; Jn 6:37-40, 44, 45, 65; Rm 8:28-30] Only they have a hunger for Yahweh’s Word. [Mt 5:6; Jn 10:1-5, 14] Only those who have no hunger for the divine Word STUMBLE at and over Christ per their disbelief and disobedience to His doctrine. Because of this, they will be completely destroyed by Christ per Yahweh’s will. [Isa 1:18-20; St Jn 3:19; Rev 19:13] By their own choice they make Christ of no value and decree themselves children of disobedience before Yahweh, who are APPOINTED eternal banishment from HIS delightful PRESENCE. [Eze 18:4; 19-23, 31; II Pet 3:9; I Cor 1:18; Rev 20:11-15] This WORD is confirmed by Yahweh through HIS scribes and prophets, from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles.
