In [I Pet 3:9] Apostle Peter writes,

Not rendering EVIL for EVIL, or RAILING for RAILING: but contrariwise BLESSING; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should INHERIT a BLESSING.

Per [I Pet 3:9-11] Apostle Peter reiterates the idea of SOWING and REAPING with the POWER OF SPEECH. [Pro 18:4, 6-8, 20, 21; Gal 6:7-10; Jam 3:5] Born-again believers are CALLED of Yahweh to SPEAK BLESSINGS upon others, especially themselves and one another. [Isa 50:4; Eph 4:29] With this in mind Apostle Peter writes,

For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Let him ESCHEW evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ENSUE it.

Yahweh makes it clear that HE is JEALOUS and deals severely with idolators. [Exo 20:3-5; Eccl 12:13, 14; 36; Rev 21:8] In [I Pet 3:13-15] Apostle Peter notes that divine protection is another benefit of practicing excellent SPEECH and conduct writing,

And who is he that will HARM you, if ye be followers of that which is good?
But and if ye suffer for righteousness’ sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
But SANCTIFY the LORD GOD in your hearts: and be ready always to give an ANSWER to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you WITH meekness and fear:

The WORD of THE LORD should be the very REASON the Elect are to give for the HOPE they have in Christ. [I Jn 3:1-3]

Being able to give an ANSWER WITH GODLY FEAR empowers the Elect to effectively SPEAK WORDS of life to souls who reverently inquire of them of such. [II Tim 2:24-26] Apostle Peter writes,

Having a good conscience, that, whereas they speak evil of you, they may be ashamed that FALSELY accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.
[I Pet 3:16, 17]

Just as the Elect are CALLED to SPEAK WORDS OF LIFE, there are those who serve Lucifer by SPEAKING WORDS that invoke death and destruction. [St Jn 10:10a]
In [I Pet 4:10, 11] Apostle Peter likens the varying abilities of SPEECH to GIFTS. He writes,

As every man hath received the GIFT even so MINISTER the same one to another, as good STEWARDS of the MANIFOLD GRACE of God. If any man SPEAK, let him SPEAK as the ORACLES OF GOD; if any man MINISTER, let him do it as of the ABILITY which GOD giveth: that GOD in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to Whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Apostle Paul also expounds upon the DIVERISTY of SPIRITUAL GIFTS bestowed upon the Church of God that is in Christ Jesus. [Rm 12:3-8; I Cor 12:4] However, in this discourse, Apostle Peter is specifically teaching about the VARYING ABILITIES of DIVINE SPEECH.

Per this discourse, Apostle Peter refers to the practice of SPEAKING FORTH what Yahweh has already spoken. When HIS ORACLES do this effectively, they direct the FAITH of their audience to Yahweh’s Word and Power. [I Cor 2:1-5] THE LORD has never ordained or anticipates such productivity from mortals who are not born-again of Christ the Word and the Holy Ghost. [Isa 6:1-8; St Jn 1:1-4, 11-14; Lk 24:44, 45; Act 1:8; 2:3, 4; Mk 16:17c; Rm 10:14, 15] Only Yahweh’s Elect can SPEAK in a manner that destroys and liberates captive minds from lying persuasions. [Jn 8:31, 32, 36; Lk 4:18, 19; 10:19, 20]
