Perfectly Perfect
Pt 7 - The Mortal Weakness of Others
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Satanic powers especially amplify mortal weakness in those who lack genuine love. They can even at times incite hurtful conduct and reactions in Christian brethren, namely those who are spiritually immature or carnal minded. Blessedly, the Word and Spirit of God are always at hand to help the Elect properly handle their differences, as it is in their new nature to express genuine love toward all souls, especially one another. The Lord Jesus said,

A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
By this shall all men know that ye are My Disciples, if ye have love one toward another.
[Jn 13:34, 35]

Apostle Paul writes,

But covet earnestly the best <spiritual> gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way <which is the practice of genuine love>.
[I Cor 12:31]

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
[I Cor 13:13]

Going into my personal Wilderness Experience, I was challenged by an evil entity that incited within me a deep sense of sorrow through lack of love in people I highly esteemed within the church arena. As a result, I eventually began to judge these people for their mortal shortcomings. This was exemplary of how devils manipulate human emotions to seduce them into the sin of ill judging others. In regard to ill judgment of others the Lord Jesus clearly said,

Judge not, that ye be not judged.
[Mt 7:1]
I now recognize that I should have responded to this demonic challenge as did Christ to Lucifer in His Wilderness Experience. He said,

It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt <or test> the Lord thy God.
…it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and HIM only shalt thou serve.
[Mt 4:4, 7, 10]

In regard to becoming spiritually mature in divine love, Christ said,
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for HE maketh HIS sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? Do not even the publicans <spiritually unregenerate> the same?
And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? Do not even the publicans so?
Be ye therefore perfect <mature in godly character> even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
[Mt 5:43-48]

My ultimate decree to my demonic challenger should have been, "It is written, 'Judge not that ye be not judged!" Divine words are living spirits which Yahweh worshipers have the legal right to believe and decree at all times. The Lord Jesus said,

It is the spirit <word> that quickeneth: the flesh <carnal nature> profiteth nothing: the words that I <Christ the Word> speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
[Jn 6:63]
In regard to the words spoken by Christ and reiterated by His Brethren, He said,

For I <Christ the Word> have not spoken of Myself <on my own accord>; but the Father which sent Me, HE gave Me a commandment what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that HIS commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.
[Jn 12:49, 50]

So, then it has always been that divine words of life proceed from Yahweh WHO imparts them to all of HIS sons. Thus, Prophet Isaiah writes,

The LORD GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: HE wakeneth morning by morning, HE wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
[Isa 50:4]

Sons of God must not permit the ill judgment of others to negatively influence their self-perception. They must learn to follow Christ’s example and not allow their emotions to get the best of them. Daily, I give praise to Yahweh for HIS unfailing love, mercy, and goodness toward me. As noted by Apostle Peter, after suffering awhile I learned to better submit my emotions to THE LORD, so HE could empower me to respond more appropriately to the invocations of evil entities. Apostle Peter writes,

But the God of all grace, WHO hath called us into HIS eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered awhile, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
[I Pet 5:10]

In regard to lack of genuine love in the last days the Lord Jesus said,
And because iniquity SHALL abound, the love of many SHALL wax cold.
[Mt 24:12]

Ironically, the House of Prayer is no exception to this unfortunate fate and is why divine correction must begin there.
Apostle Peter writes,

For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God <concerning HIS Son Jesus Christ>?
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear <before Yahweh>?
Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to HIM in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
[I Pet 4:17-19]

In my Wilderness Experience THE LORD revealed to me that what I experienced in the earlier years of my spiritual growth, was demonic activity practiced from within Christian Assemblies called TARE ATTACKS. HE then referred me to The Parable of The Tares where Christ explains that WHEAT is figurative of the spiritually born-again sons of God who are generally subject to divine influence.

Apostle Paul writes,

For as many are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
[Rm 8:14]

TARES are figurative of spiritually unregenerate mortals who are under satanic influence and remain subject to the dictates thereof. Of them Apostle Paul writes,

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God: neither indeed can be.
So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
[Rm 8:5-9]

The Parable of The Tares clarifies that WHEAT and TARES must grow and fully mature together until the time appointed for them to be harvested, then permanently separated. This allowance is for the benefit of the WHEAT.
The Lord Jesus said,

The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:
But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.
But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares?
He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.
Let both grow together until the harvest; and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
[Mt 13:24-30]

The Lord Jesus further expounds upon The Parable of The Tares saying,

HE that soweth the GOOD SEED is the Son of man;
The field is the world; the GOOD SEED are the children of the kingdom; but the TARES are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of this world; and the reapers are the angels.
As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath an ear to hear, let him hear.
[Mt 13:37- 43]

The TARES I encountered in my Wilderness Experience attacked me with slander, gossip, heresy, whispering, lies, blasphemy, fear, and spite. Their blows continued so fiercely that I no longer felt welcomed in The House of Prayer. Like Job, I was ill judged. My faith in God was questioned due to life occurrences that were beyond my control. I was very young chronologically and spiritually in THE LORD and quite naïve to the reality of demonic activity taking place within church settings. For a short while I did continue to be active in service but was progressively losing joy, hope, and confidence in myself as a son of God. My natural and spiritual gifts were being exercised less and less, until they were no longer called upon at all. I was appointed positions of service but was no longer afforded the respect and support needed to effectively operate therein. Eventually, I relinquished all formal positions and the pursuit of evangelism to which I knew I was called. Although there was the possibility of participating in other Christian circles, I simply lost all desire to serve in Christian ministry or be a member of any church organization. I began to view organized religion as oppressive, judgmental, cliquish, political and commercial. I finally made the decision to just relinquish it altogether. I told THE LORD, "I'm out of here!" I vowed to HIM and myself that I would never join another church as long I lived and meant it. I sincerely expressed to Yahweh that I could never deny or denounce HIM, as I did truly love and believe in HIM, HIS Christ, and HIS Holy Spirit because I did. Yet, there was so much about myself that I was unsure of and it appeared that no one in my life could help me better understanding myself. I made up in my mind before God to simply take what I did know for certain and live the best I could on my own. I expressed to the HEAVENLY FATHER that I was fully convinced that HE is THE ALL-KNOWING ONE WHO ALONE could help me acquire the insight I needed about myself. With all my heart I wanted HIM to impart this knowledge unto me, so I could be the person HE wanted me to be and not what others wanted to make of me, per their manmade formalities. Little did I realize that this was the point at which I walked into Yahweh’s Master Plan for my life. The LORD Yahweh said through Prophet Jeremiah,

Call unto ME, and I will answer thee, and shew thee GREAT and MIGHTY things, which thou knowest NOT.
[Jer 33:3]

This is inclusive of things I knew not even about my own self. The Word declares that it is THE LORD WHO imparts truth about all things to HIS Elect, especially prescriptive truth about their innate being. The Lord Jesus said,

All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
No man can come to Me except the Father which hath sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me.
But there are some of you <then and today> that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray Him.
And He said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father.
[Jn 6:37, 44, 45, 64, 65]

Apostle Paul writes,

For by one offering He <Christ> hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that HE <Yahweh> had said before,
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the LORD, I will put MY laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
[Heb 10:14-17]

My plea actually initiated the next phase of my personal Wilderness Experience. For the next few decades, I would encounter the life experiences that were necessary to gain the insight I desired of THE LORD about myself. However, I also inherited deeper insight into HIS perfect will for my life and of HIS unconditional love towards me as HIS predestinated son.

Apostle Paul writes,
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did PREDESTINATE to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom HE did predestinate, them HE also called: and whom HE called, them HE also justified: and whom HE justified, them HE also glorified.
[Rm 8:28-30]

With the knowledge I now have from THE LORD concerning myself as HIS son, I am better equipped to combat the challenges of evil on a daily basis. Due to THE LORD’S teaching, I also have increased revelation concerning the POWER and PURPOSE of Christ the Seed of Faith Who abides within me. Because of THE LORD’S teaching about myself, I have learned to better appreciate my disposition and inheritance as a brother of Jesus Christ, for which I am eternally grateful.

Apostle Paul writes,

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION; that ye may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints.
And what is the exceeding greatness of HIS power to us-ward who believe according to the working of HIS mighty power,
Which HE wrought in Christ, when HE raised Him from the dead, and set Him at HIS OWN RIGHT HAND in the heavenly places,
Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
[Eph 1:17-21]
