The Book of Ezekiel
An Intimate Review
Pt 1 - A Brief Historical Review of the True Hebrew Nation
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Yahweh Worshipers must search the scriptures prayerfully, utilizing hermeneutical application to properly understand what THE LORD has already spoken about the fate of all who worship HIM and those who do not. HE is increasing knowledge of HIS sovereignty through skillful study of texts that were written by HIS appointed scribes, prophets, and teachers, from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles. THE LORD is utilizing modern sciences, archeological discoveries, miracles and revelations provisioned by demonstration of the Holy Ghost. Those who are endowed with ability to recognize what these divine gratuities are, are admonished to govern themselves accordingly. [Dan 12:3; St Jn 5:39; 7:38; 8:31, 32; 14:26; I Jn 5:20; II Tim 2:15; 3:16, 18] In regard to the original Hebrew people, The Book of Ezekiel is rich with historic and prophetic information about them, and tells of relevant events specific to their past, present, and future.

Chapter 1
Ezekiel is called at the age of 30 to be a prophet [1:1, 28], a judge [22:2], a watchman [3:17], and a priest [1:3] to Israel. His name means 'Yahweh Is Strong'. He was a Nazarene like Yahushua or Jesus Christ of Nazareth. [8:3] At the appointed time, Ezekiel proclaimed his calling to Israel. [12:11; 24:24]
Thus, one’s proclamation of their public ministry for THE LORD is good when it is genuinely divine. [Mt 5:14-16, 19; II Cor 4:3-17]

Chapter 2
The Holy Ghost positioned Ezekiel in a time and place where Yahweh could communicate to him his mission. THE LORD often removes HIS servants from their familiar surroundings to prepare them for service. [2:2] Ezekiel greatly revered and yielded to the guidance of the Holy Ghost. It is impossible to do THE LORD’S work without the guidance and strength HIS Spirit. [Eze 1:28; 2:24; 3:11, 23, 24, 14-16; 4; 8: 3, 9, 13, 15; 11:21; 16:2; 24:16, 18; 33:1-7] Ezekiel’s message was only to the House of Israel. In his day, Israel was the most idolatrous and demonically influenced nation on earth. [2:3-8] Ezekiel was to speak Yahweh's message fearlessly to them whether or not they wanted to hear it. [2:9, 10]
In this chapter, it is noted that 'SCORPIONS' are mortals who willingly submit to the worship, influence, and control of demons, which are fallen angels. The history of this is detailed in the writings of Enoch. In Ezekiel’s day, these devil worshippers consisted of false prophets, witches, warlocks, wizards, sorcerers and such. [Eze 14:9-11; Mt 7:15-20; Lk 10:19; I Cor 4:4] Also noted in this passage is that Israel clearly understood the language in which Ezekiel spoke to them.
Yahweh continues to communicate HIS message in whatever language that became native to them per the lands they were born in. [Eze 11:15]

Chapter 3
Yahweh required Ezekiel to fully consume HIS message before relaying it to Israel. [Mt 5:19] They were an extremely rebellious nation that was enslaved in Babylon at the time. Today, many descendants of the original Hebrew Nation reside in foreign lands as a direct result of chattel slavery. [Eze 3:11, 25-27] Ezekiel obeys Yahweh WHO empowers him to consume the bitter sweet message to Israel. [Eze 3:2, 3; Phil 1:6; Isa 50:4] THE LORD adjusts Ezekiel's emotional state so he could cope with the loss of his spouse, as THE LORD required the life of his wife to demonstrate a point to Israel. [Eze 24:16-18; Phil 2:13] Yahweh then supernaturally transports Ezekiel in a geographical center of the Israelites. [Eze 3:14, 15] Ezekiel is advised that it was not his responsibility to take care of Israel in general, but to help them improve their status before THE LORD, by advising them of who they were in relation to HIM. [Eze 11:25; Joel 3:11-14] At this time in Israel’s history, the laws of Yahweh as provisioned through Moses, were not honored or taught by their political or religious leaders. This lack of proper knowledge and teaching was the procuring cause of Israel's addiction to idolatry and Babylonian enslavement. Because Ezekiel was responsible for delivering Yahweh's message to Israel, their blood would be upon his hand if they died as a result of his failure to do so. [Eze 3:17-21] Thus, a true prophet of Yahweh who rejects their call of duty, can invoke unfortunate circumstance upon themselves and those they are sent to serve. [Hos 4:4-8; Mt 5:14-16, 19; I Tim 4:16]

Chapter 4
Yahweh appoints 430 YEARS of harsh slavery in strange lands to Israel, as a consequence of their idolatry. [Eze 4:5, 6, 9-13, 15-17] Many believe this enslavement to be the Egyptian enslavement but it was not. Although the Hebrews lived as strangers in Egypt for 430 YEARS, they were not slaves there for 430 YEARS. [Exo 12:40]
I AM THAT I AM assured Abram that his descendants would suffer severe slavery in strange lands for FOUR GENERATIONS. HE also promised that shortly after this enslavement, HE would judge the land(s) wherein they were enslaved, then return a remnant of them to their homeland, with great spiritual and temporal substance. [Gen 15:13, 16; Exo 20:5, 6] During the 400 plus year span of chattel slavery, which took place from the early 1400’s to the mid 1800’s, many descendants of the original Hebrews, and other Nubian nations suffered the worst enslavement known in human history.

Chapters 5-8
Israel suffers like no other nation ever has because of their idolatry. Their sins [direct transgressions of Yahweh's laws] and iniquities [sins of the heart] surpassed those of all the nations on earth at that time. It is important to note that Israel was the only nation that had a COVENANTAL RELATIONSHIP with Yahweh. Because of their NATIONAL INFLUENCE Israel profoundly impacted all nations. MISTRANSLATING Yahweh’s directives and MISREPRESENTING HIM as HIS PRIESTS was and is partially why they suffered such severe punishment. Most of them died as a result of their wicked acts. However, Yahweh promised to secure a small remnant of them who did, do, and will worship Him EXCLUSIVELY. [Exo 20:5, 6] This small remnant would live to repent on behalf of their forefather's and carry out their COVENANTAL OBLIGATION on earth. The calling would eventually rest upon citizens of other nations, due to their decision to exclusively worship Yahweh.

Chapter 9
In this chapter, we learn about the DIVINE MARK placed upon all who hated idolatry. The mark given in Ezekiel's time was figurative of the Blood of Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost, which would be directly applied to Yahweh Worshipers of latter generations. THE MARK is also DIVINE INSIGHT imparted by Yahweh to HIS worshipers, so they may carry within their souls the REALITY of HIMSELF and HIS CHRIST. [Rm 3:21-26; Eph 1:13b, 14, 18-20; Mt 5:14-16, 19; II Cor 4:3-7]

Chapter 10
This chapter speaks of the CHERUBIM and GUARDIAN ANGEL of Yahweh's EARTHLY THRONE. Again, Enoch covers much about this in his writings.

Chapter 11-12:1-16
This passage explains more about the enslavement of the Hebrew in the latter days. [Eze 11-12:1-16] They were banished from their land for a season. I reiterate, Yahweh promised to Abram that his descendants would suffer severe enslavement FOR FOUR GENERATIONS. Shortly thereafter, Yahweh promised to return them to their homeland with great substance. [Eze 12:17-20; Gen 15:13-21] As in the days of Noah, people of Israel did not believe this type of enslavement would happen to them until it actually did. [Eze 12:22-28]

Chapter 13
This chapter talks about Yahweh's intense hatred of false prophets and witches, especially those within the Hebrew nation. Yahweh promises to expose and utterly destroy these 'SCORPIONS' HIMSELF. [See notes from Ezekiel Chapter 2]

Chapter 14
This chapter speaks of the ruin of lazy and idolatrous Hebrew leaders who fail to change their evil ways. They are equivalent to Hebrew teachers and leaders of today who fail to proclaim Israel's true identity, heritage, and duty. [Eze 14:1-11; 20:3, 31; 34:1-10] Upon the completion of Babylonian enslavement, Yahweh declares that everyone will from thenceforth suffer per their personal wrong doings. Thus, HE put an end to GENERATIONAL CURSES. [Eze 4:12-23; 18:1-9] Yahweh declared that only those who repent of their idolatry will escape HIS WRATH. [Eze 33:8-29; St Jn 3:18, 19, 36; Rm 2:7-11; 8:1]
