Pt 5 - The Seed of Faith and Weakness of Flesh cont…
By Lawrence DeMetrius
The war between the Lord of Righteousness and the lord of unrighteousness was initiated by Yahweh in Eden. Moses writes,
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
[Gen 3:15]
Regarding the ultimate work and manifestation of Christ, the Lord of Righteousness Apostle Paul reiterates,
But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth HIS Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of HIS Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
[Gal 4:4-7]
So then, all things that exist have a divine purpose as noted by King Solomon who writes,
The LORD hath made all things for HIMSELF: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
[Pro 16:4]
Yahweh said through Prophet Isaiah,
Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I HAVE CREATED THE WASTER TO DESTROY.
No weapon that is formed against THEE <the sons of God> shall prosper; and every tongue <angelic and mortal> that shall rise against thee IN JUDGMENT THOU shalt condemn. <Why? Because…> This is the heritage of the servants <now sons> of the LORD, and their righteousness <which is Christ> is of ME saith the LORD.
[Isa 54:16, 17]
Thus, for the sons of God challenges from satanic powers are limited and purposed only for refining and manifestation of righteous character. However, for the children of disobedience, satanic attacks are divinely purposed to bring about consequential results for rejecting divine directives, by willing engagement in works of unrighteousness. It fulfills Yahweh’s divine law of one reaping what they sow according to their own choice and conduct. The stratagem of SELF DEGRADATON was first implemented in Eden, which immediately resulted in Adam and Eve perceiving their initial likeness, which was perfectly divine, as something that was not good and should be covered. It was the first and greatest lie ever infused within the mortal consciousness by satanic forces. Moses writes,
And God said, Let US make man in OUR IMAGE, after OUR LIKENESS:
And God SAW EVERYTHING that HE made, and, behold, <to HIM> it was VERY GOOD.
[Gen 1:26, 31a]
Satanic forces also work to destroy positive influences that support healthy self-esteem. They strive against any influence that nurtures the idea of mortals being pure and of a good nature before THE LORD. Thus, they are constantly attempting to seduce mortals into volatile relationships and conduct devised to negatively affect their thoughts and mode of thinking. This is why the Sons of God are admonished to always think a certain way and focus on what THE LORD thinks and has declared about them.
Prophet Jeremiah writes,
For I know the THOUGHTS that I THINK toward you, saith the LORD, THOUGHTS of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
[Jer 29:11]
The Lord Jesus said,
For God so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
For God sent not HIS Son into the world to condemn the word; but that the world through Him might be saved <from HIS wrath against sin and the Second Death>.
[St Jn 3:16, 17]
Apostle John reiterates this in writing,
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent HIS only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that HE loved us, and sent HIS Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
[I Jn 4:9, 10]
Apostle Paul writes, concerning all mortals who are wholehearted toward Yahweh throughout all generations of mortal kind,
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
For whom HE did FOREKNOW, HE also did PREDESTINATE to be CONFORMED to the image of HIS Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom HE did PREDESTINATE, them HE also CALLED: and whom HE CALLED, them HE also JUSTIFIED: and whom HE JUSTIFIED, them HE also GLORIFIED.
[Rm 8:29-30]
Thus, it was of utmost importance for the Holy Ghost to admonish sons of God through Apostle Paul’s counsel to think a certain way, especially about themselves. Apostle Paul writes,
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise THINK on these things <especially concerning yourself and one another in Christ>.
[Phil 4:8]
Sons of God must never lose sight of the fact that in spite of their sin flawed mortal nature, Yahweh loved them to the point of sacrificing HIS only begotten Son. HE did so because of HIS love for them and all mortal spirits, and desires them all to live abundantly before HIM now and forevermore through Christ the Word.
Sons of God must remember that if and when they fall in sin, they do have the legal right to realistically acknowledge, repent of and be washed from their sins with the Blood of Christ the Lamb, every time they need to. In fact, repentance and forgiveness is an activity they are to practice on a daily basis before Yahweh. The Lord Jesus said,
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
[Mt 6: 12, 14, 15]
Apostle John reiterates this by writing,
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, HE <Yahweh> is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM liar, and HIS Word <Christ> is not in us.
[I Jn 1:8-10]
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
[I Jn 2:1, 2]
The sons of God are admonished to daily acknowledge Yahweh for what HE has established for them through HIS Christ. They must always beware that no agent of evil is powerful enough to pluck them out of Christ’s hand Who said,
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all <including Christ Himself>; and no man is able to plucky them out of My Father’s Hand.
I and My Father are One <united as one unit>.
[Jn 10:28-30]
While this divine gratuity is bestowed upon the brethren of Christ, they are to maintain the practice of self-discipline, with help from Christ abiding within them. Apostle Paul writes,
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
[I Cor 9:27]
My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
[II Cor 12:9]
Satanic powers ride on the wings of unrighteousness right into one’s life experience. Sons of God can invoke demonic oppression upon themselves through unbelief and willful disobedience to divine directives. Apostle Paul writes,
Neither give place to the devil.
[Eph 4:27]
Apostle James writes,
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth HE any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[Jam 1:12-14]
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
[Jam 4:7, 17]
While it is true that all but one transgression, the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost, is forgivable it does not negate the fact that Yahweh may not always excuse an Elect from incurring consequences for a deliberate act of disobedience. This is exemplified per the life experiences of such Patriarchs as Moses, David, and Solomon.
The Lord Jesus said,
Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall NOT be forgiven men.
And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall NOT be forgiven him, neither in this world <age and generation>, neither in the world to come.
[Mt 12:31, 32]
Apostle John writes,
If any man see his brother sin a sin which is NOT unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin NOT unto death. There is a sin unto death <which is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost>: I do not say that he shall pray for it.
All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin NOT unto death.
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not <is not enslaved to the power of sin>; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one <devils> toucheth him not.
[I Jn 5:16-18]
