Pt 7 – Notes for Section 5 A Book of Exhortation and Promised Blessing for the Righteous and of Malediction and Woe for the Sinners
Covering Chapters 91-108
By Lawrence DeMetrius
In Chapter 91 we learn that those graced with divine insight invite others to come and hear it. Interested parties will accept these invitations. However, it is made clear to Yahweh that uninterested parties prefer the person or word other alleged gods. [vs 4a; Pro 14:12; Mt 7:13; I Jn 4:4-6] While Yahweh owns and cares for all mortals, HE favors those who seek to know, properly understanding, and obey HIS Word. [vs 4b] Doublemindedness has never been an option with Yahweh, WHO will never be second to others. [Exo 20:3-6; 34:13, 14; Isa 42:8; Mt 6:19, 24; Jam 1:5-8] It matters not how others judge us because all mortals are sin flawed before Yahweh. [Rm 3:23] No mortal is qualified to judge as Yahweh WHO is the only good and righteous JUDGE. [Mt 7:1-5; 19:17; Rm 14:10, 13] Christ is the only Person authorized by Yahweh to act as judge in HIS stead. [Act 17:31] Christ will do so at the appointed time and according to Yahweh’s directives. [St Jn 5:17-30] However, Yahweh has established that by one’s own profession will they eternally live in or perish from HIS delightful presence. [Isa 1:18-20; Mt 12:37; Rm 10:9, 10] Enoch foretells of how increased iniquity will negatively impact the expression of Agapao Love on earth, which is affirmed by Jesus Christ. [Mt 24:12] With Yahweh, everything is about the DIVINE LOVE HE imparts only through HIS Word and Spirit active within HIS Elect Ones. [vs 5a; Mt 5:44-48; 24:12; Rm 5:5; I Jn 3:14-18; 4:7-21; I Cor 12:31; 13] Christ informs His brethren to beware of worldly enticements that hinder DIVINE LOVE and the labors thereof. [Mt 24:24; Rev 2:4] Enoch reiterates that the degree of offenses in the earth will become greater in the last days than they were in the days of Noah. He predicted that world conditions will worsen because of strong support of unrighteous principles. He foretells that the world system will be destroyed from its roots, which are idolatry, sorcery, and witchcraft. [vs 5b, 8, 9] Enoch writes that when wickedness reaches its highest peak on earth then will Yahweh execute HIS final judgment upon it. He reiterates that all who plan war, make war, and create weapons of warfare will die thereby. [vs 11; Rev 13:10]
In Chapter 92, Enoch reiterates that divine insight is only imparted to the righteous. [Dan 12:3, 10; Mt 11:28-30; Jn 8:31, 32]
In Chapters 93 and 91, Enoch again reiterates that he is the first to write books of righteous principles. His resources were heavenly visions, interaction with Holy Angels, and tables stored in the high heavens. By Yahweh’s command Enoch’s books are to be published to all children of earth in their languages. Yahweh’s Word is for all people and with HIM there is no respect of persons. [vs 1, 2; Rm 2:7-11] Enoch foretells about Abraham, the Mosaic Law, the Temple of Yahweh built in Israel, the coming Anti-Christ, and John the Baptist.
In Chapter 91:12-17, Enoch foretells of the destruction of the first heaven. This is likely the heaven from which satanic powers now exercise their wiles against the children of earth. Apostles Paul writes of them in his Epistle of Ephesians. [Eph 6:11, 12] This is also likely the heaven that is going to be replaced with a new one per Apostle John’s Epistle of Revelation. [Rev 21]
In Chapter 94, Enoch again reiterates that each person must decide for themselves to walk in righteousness or unrighteousness. [Mt 6:19, 24; 7:13; Jam 4:7-10] Unfortunately, most will choose unrighteousness because they take more pleasure in the works thereof. [St Jn 3:19, 20, 36] Enoch reveals that it is the work of evil spirits to discourage impartation of divine wisdom. [Mt 6:34; 4:1-11; Jn 10:10a] He writes about Yahweh’s strong warning to all who trust in temporal riches. The righteous are to never fret over the wealth of the wicked. They are to consider the allotment of temporal possessions they have as more valuable than all the wealth of the wicked. [Ps 37:1, 16; Eccl 2:24, 26; Jam 2:5]
In Chapter 95 Enoch writes principles that later become elements of The Ten Commandments. [vs 5, 6] He also touches on witchcraft, vengefulness, and liars.
In Chapter 96, Enoch reiterates the fate of the wicked who happen to be rich during their mortal lifetime. He speaks of how money can make them appear to be good. [vs 4] He also describes them as fading flowers as does Apostle James in his epistle. [vs 6; Jam 1:10, 11]
In Chapter 97 Enoch continues to write about the fate of those who put their trust in temporal riches. He also denotes the use of chattel slavery to build personal wealth. [vs 8-10; 99:13; Lk 12:15]
In Chapter 98, Enoch reiterates the fate of the wicked who happen to be rich during their mortal lifetime but die in unrighteousness. Like all who die in unrighteousness their spirits will be cast into a furnace of fire. [Eno 22] He mentions that mortals are ultimately responsible for sin manifested on earth. [vs 4; Gen 2, 3; Jam 1:13-15] He reiterates that every sin committed by the wicked is being recorded in heaven and will count against them before The Judgment Seat of Christ. [vs 7; Eccl 12:13-15; Rev 20:11-15; Rm 8:1] He also writes about the practice of eating blood, especially as a ritual of witchcraft. [vs 11] Enoch again reiterates the creation of books that teach principles of unrighteousness. [vs 15, 16]
In Chapters 99, 104, 108 and 37, Enoch writes about those who glory in teaching lies. As did Lucifer with Eve, many false teachers appear to be friends who come with good intent. Again, the most subtle of them usurp divine words and re-teach them with erroneous meaning. [vs 1, 2; Gen 3] The righteous are to avoid them at all costs lest they be destroyed with them. [II Jn vs 7-11] Enoch speaks about the sin of inordinate affection. This is the practice of not responding in the sympathetic, empathetic, and humane manner that mortals ought to toward one another. This sin motivates children of earth to abuse and murder one another in various ways. It is what causes spouses to abuse and murder one another. It is what causes parents to abuse and murder their children. It is what causes children to abuse and murder their parents. Jesus Christ spoke of it to His disciples. [Mt 10:36] Apostle Paul writes of it in his Epistle of Romans. [Rm 1:31] Enoch clarifies that the root of all wickedness is idolatry. He reiterates the evil of chattel slavery and denotes the evils of racism, discrimination and fraud. [vs 11-13; Pro 6:16-19] He mentions that the souls of idolators are attached to their idols. [vs 14] Most importantly, Enoch expresses the opportunity given to all people to repent i.e., change from the ways of unrighteousness to those of righteousness. [Pro 14:12; Mt 7:13, 14] Those who reverently acknowledge Yahweh’s Word are empowered to deliver themselves from the snares of satanic influence. [Eze 18:4, 19-23, 31, 32; II Tim 2:15, 24-26]
In Chapters 100-103 Enoch writes about the fate of the offspring of the 200 fallen angels. [vs 1] He notes that the riches of the wicked will not save them on The Final Day of Judgment. [100:6] He writes that Yahweh will exact vengeance on all who hurt HIS righteous ones. [100:7; 102:4-6; Rm 12:19] Enoch reiterates that the words and deeds of unrighteous people will be recounted to them on The Final Day of Judgment. He assures that the flame prepared for their spirits will burn hotter than any fire experienced on earth. [100:9; 103:5-8]
In Chapter 101, Enoch notes that real unrepentant sinners have no reverence for Yahweh at all. [101:8, 9] They really believe they will not be punished for their crimes. [102:6-11]
In Chapter 103:1-4, Enoch explains that there is definite and divine purpose for each of Yahweh’s Elect. [Rm 8:28] However, it does not entail them living their mortal lifetime as if it has no end. Nor does it entail them experiencing multiple mortal lifetimes. [Lk 20:34-38; Heb 9:27]
In Chapters 104, 108, 99, and 37 Enoch again notes The Book of Life. [vs 1, 2] He writes about the portals of Heaven and how they will be abundantly opened to the spirits of the righteous, which Apostle Peter notes in his Epistle of II Peter. [vs 3; II Pet 1:11] Again, Enoch reiterates that the deeds of mortals are being recorded in the heavens. [vs 11-13; 108:6]
In Chapter 105 Enoch foretells that Yahweh and HIS Christ will dwell with the righteous forever and ever. This dwelling begins the moment one receives and confesses Christ as Lord. [Mt 11:28-30; Jn 14:21, 23; Rm 10:9, 10; I Cor 8:6; Eph 4:4-6; Rev 2:17; 3:20] Considering all that Enoch has written, what mortal kind has been experiencing from their beginning is a process of time wherein the children of righteousness and unrighteousness are being revealed. When this process is complete, their final separation will take place and all spirits will receive just recompense per their true character and deeds. [Eccl 12:13-15; Mt 13:24-30; 36-43; Rev 20:11-15]
