Promise of Divine Revelation

Jesus Christ promised revelation of divine truth, as His disciples remain studious in His teachings. He said,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son <Who is the Truth per Jn 14:6> therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]

Diligent scriptural study is a divine command for the disciples of Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul writes,

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[II Tim. 2:15]

Apostle Paul also noted that knowledge of the Holy Scriptures is able to make one wise unto salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus. Furthermore, He writes,

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
[II Tim. 3:16, 17]

Apostle Peter says of the holy scriptures,

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
[II Pet. 1:20, 21]

That which Christ teaches IS the LIGHT He imparts unto everyone who entrusts their well-being to Him. He said,

Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
[Mt. 11:28-30]

Jesus Christ declared that He is the Light of the world that lights everyone born into the world. He said,

I am the Light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of life.
[Jn 8:12]

Apostle John writes,

In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
[St Jn 1:4, 9]

He promised that anyone who believes in Him, will no longer walk in darkness or ignorance of divine truth, because they entrust their well-being to Him. He knew that every heart would not do this, and expounds upon it in The Parable of the Sower. We see this at [Mt. 13:3]. In fact, He made it very clear that only those who are drawn to Him by His FATHER would learn to do so. He said,

All that the Father giveth Me shall come to Me: and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out.
No man can come to Me except the Father which hath sent Me draw him; and I will raise him up at the last day.
It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto Me.
Therefore, said I unto you, that no man can come unto Me, except it were given unto him of My Father.
[Jn 6:37, 44, 45, 65]
Furthermore, He disclosed that the real reason why many reject Him, is because they are not of the flock given to Him by His FATHER, to redeem, disciple, and perfect in righteousness. These unfortunate souls are perishing in their unbelief and appointed to Lucifer, who is permitted to keep them blind to revelation of divine truth. Apostle Paul writes,

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.
[I Cor. 1:18]

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth;
[Rm 1:16a]

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world <Lucifer> hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
[II Cor. 4:3, 4]

…if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth <Christ the Light and Truth>:
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
[II Tim. 2:26b]

This is why Christ instructs His disciples not to cast their pearls of divine knowledge to dogs and swine, which are mortals who choose to forfeit divine worship, to engage in satanic worship through idolatry, sorcery, witchcraft, and any practice of unrighteousness. Those who live in divine light are likened to the Church of Philadelphia, which is the only group of people professing allegiance to Jesus Christ, who escape the tribulation that tries all who dwell on earth.





Christ said,

I know thy works: behold, I set before THEE an open door, and no man can shut it: <Why?> for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My Name.
Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
[Rev. 3:8, 10]

There are tests that all born-again believers will have to endure as it is necessary for spiritual perfection. [Job 14:1; Mt. 7:24-28; I Cor. 10:13; Jam. 1:2-4] However, there are tests and trials that will not touch those who are likened to the Church of Philadelphia because they do the following.

1. They properly acknowledge mortal weakness and the need for Christ and His teaching. [II Cor. 12:9, 10]

2. They are steadfast in their commitment to effective and continual scriptural study. [Jn. 8:31, 32, 36; II Tim. 2:15; 3:15-17]

3. They refuse to let lying persuasions lead them back into spiritual darkness. [Gal. 5:7; II Jn. vs 7-11]

When one knows better, they empower themselves to do better and inherit favor not accessible to those who do not. It behooves anyone who is truly concerned about their spiritual disposition before THE LORD, to be and remain studious in principles of righteousness, as taught by HIS proven scribes and prophets, from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles.
