Lesson 6
Christ, Our Light

Per Apostle John Jesus Christ is the Light of all mortals born into the world. He writes,

In Him <Christ the Word> was life; and the life was the light of men.
…the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
[St Jn 1:4, 9]

When Christ dwells within our heart, He empowers us to properly worship Yahweh His FATHER, which is with renewed intellect and in reality. He said,

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit <spiritually renewed mind> and in truth <reality>: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit <spiritually renewed mind> and in truth <reality>.
[St Jn 4:23, 24]

Those who worship Yahweh are divinely charged to let Christ their Light shine through them so others will be inspired to glorify Yahweh as do they. The Lord Jesus said,

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
[Mt 5:14-16]

As did Jesus Christ, so too must we strive to speak and do what is pleasing to our HEAVENLY FATHER.


He said,

And He that sent Me is with Me; the Father hath not left Me alone; <Why?> for I do always those things that please HIM.
[Jn 8:29]

For I have not spoken of Myself; but the Father which sent Me, HE gave Me a commandment what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that HIS commandment is life everlasting; whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto Me, so I speak.
[St Jn 12:49, 50]

Apostle Paul writes,

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
[Eph 4:29]

Prophet Isaiah writes,

The LORD GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: HE wakeneth morning by morning, HE wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
[Isa 50:4]

Having Christ as our Light, let us live the rest of our mortal lifetime to the glory of Yahweh our GOD and ABBA, FATHER.
