Lesson 19 of 77
Yahweh Our Provider
{See Lessons 25, 54, 60, 61, 62, 69}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Yahweh Worshipers must remain confident in HIS ability to provide for them. Per Christ, Yahweh is committed to supplying the best quality of that which benefits HIS Elect. King David writes,

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
[Ps 23:1]

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good <beneficial> thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.
[Ps 84:11]

Apostle Paul writes,

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
[Rm 8:28]

Although Yahweh already knows what all hearts need and desire, HE still requires one to reverently and in faith ask HIM for these things. The Lord Jesus said,

…for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask HIM.
[Mt 6:8b]

Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he SHALL have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them and ye SHALL have them.
[Mk 11:21-24]

Apostle Paul writes,

Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
[Phil 4:6]

Yahweh receives much pleasure from the expression of one’s faith in HIS ability to provide for them. The practice of daily prayer and praise are certainly elements of such expression. The Lord Jesus said,

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
<Why?> for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
[Mt 7:7, 8]

Apostle Paul writes,

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently <sincerely in faith> seek HIM.
[Heb 11:1, 6]

While Yahweh is certain to cause the distribution of required monetary substance to occur for HIS Elect, it is the abundance of spiritual riches HE desires most to fill their treasures with. Apostle Paul writes,

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
[II Cor 9:8]

But my God shall supply all your need according to HIS riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
[Phil 4:19]

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, WHO hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
[Eph 1:3]

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
[Col 3:2]

The Lord Jesus said,

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
<Why?> For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
[Mt 6:19-21]

Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
[Lk 12:15]

King Solomon writes concerning THE HOLY DIVINE,

I love them that love Me; and those that seek ME early <diligently, sincerely, and in faith> shall find ME.
Riches and honor are with ME; yea, durable riches and righteousness.
MY fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and MY revenue than choice silver.
I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
That I may cause those that love ME to inherit substance; and I WILL fill their treasures.
[Pro 8:17-21]

In every season of their life the Elect of God are to trust HIS ability to provide for them. As long as their prayer, character, and conduct are in line with HIS will, they will enjoy the best of every benefit fitting for them during their mortal and eternal lifetime.

The Lord Jesus said,

And HE that sent Me is with Me: the Father hath not left Me alone; for I do always those things that please HIM.
[Jn 8:29]

Apostle John writes,

And whatsoever we ask, we receive of HIM, because we keep HIS commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in HIS sight.
And this is HIS commandment, That we should believe on the Name of HIS Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as HE gave us commandment.
[I Jn 3:22, 23]

And this is the confidence that we have in HIM, that, if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE heareth us:
And if we know that HE hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire of HIM.
[I Jn 5:14, 15]
