Lesson 12 of 77
Judge Not
[lessons 2, 28, 33, 71]
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Yahweh Worshippers are not to judge others. The Lord Jesus said,

Judge not, that ye be not judged.
For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then thou shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
[Mt 7:1-5]

To judge or krino per the Ancient Greek language is to try, condemn, or punish. It also means to distinguish or decide mentally or judicially. While the Elect of God are to exercise divine discernment, to guard themselves from devils appearing as divine messengers, they are never to cast judgment on others in general. The Lord Jesus said,

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
[Mt 7:15, 20]

A judgment or krima per the Ancient Greek language is a decision that serves as a function or effect for or against a crime. When one does this to another the degree or metron/metreo at which they do it is measured against them. Christ teaches His Brethren to discard the mote or dry twig or straw in another person’s eye/ophthalmos or vision, because in so doing they negate the beam or dokos stick of timber that is present in their own eye. Per Christ, one should question the motive of those who seek to correct another person’s shortcomings, and have little regard to correcting their own. He admonishes born-again believers to first work on self-correction, so they might be able to see clearly enough to help another remedy theirs.
The Lord Jesus recognizes judgmental people as hypocrites which are those who act under an assumed character like a stage player. Hypocrites are dissemblers who conceal their true identities, feelings, and motives will all have their place in the lake of fire and brimstone. Apostle John writes,

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
[Rev 21:8]

It is especially forbidden for the Elect of God to ill judge one another. The Lord Jesus said,

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
[Jn 7:24]

Apostle Paul writes,

Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
[Rm 14:13]

Apostle James writes,

Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.
[Jam 5:9]

No mortal, be they redeemed or not, is of their own means righteous before Yahweh and certainly not sinless enough to rightly cast judgment upon another. Christ the Word is the only authority perfect enough, qualified enough, and ordained of Yahweh to officially judge anyone on HIS behalf. In his speech at Mars Hill in Ephesus Apostle Paul said,

But now <Yahweh> commandeth all men everywhere to repent:
Because HE hath appointed a day, in the which HE will judge the world in righteousness by that Man Whom HE hath ordained; whereof HE hath given assurance unto all men, in that HE hath raised Him from the dead.
[Acts 17:30b, 31]
Apostle Paul also writes,

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
[II Cor 5:10]

King Solomon writes,

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
[Eccl 12:14]

As the HOLY GODHEAD alone knows the innate nature of all mortal spirits, THEY are the only UNIT capable and qualified to rightly judge them. The Old Testament notes,

Then hear THOU from heaven THY dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart THOU knowest; (for THOU only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)
[II Chr 6:30]

Apostle Paul writes,

For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but He that judgeth me is the Lord.
Therefore, judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, Who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God <or shall Yahweh’s undivided attention>.
[I Cor 4:5]

Let all of the Elect praise Yahweh for HIS everlasting mercies toward them, and for The Blood of Christ HIS Lamb that affords every mortal the opportunity to before HIM become again and remain innocent and pure. Prophet Jeremiah writes,

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness.
[Lam 3:22, 23]
Apostle Paul writes,

But now the righteousness of God without the <Mosaic> law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, to declare His righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that HE might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[Rm 3:21-26]

Having this wisdom, whenever unrighteous judgement befalls, let one be admonished to carryon on in the way of Yahweh’s love, mercy, forgiveness and to Judge Not.
