Lesson 27 of 77
Exclusive Yahweh Worship
{See Lessons 25, 26, 30, 31, 35}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Yahweh Worshipers are to keep their trust in Yahweh and not in other mortals, money, or any other source. The Lord Jesus said,

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Therefore, I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Therefore, take no thought saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we drink? Or, Where withal shall we be clothed?
(For after all these THINGS do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have NEED of all these things.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness; and all these things SHALL be added unto you.
[Mt 6:24, 25, 31-33]

Apostle Paul writes,

But godliness with contentment is great gain.
<Why?> For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
[I Tim 6:6-10]

Apostle John writes,

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.
[I Jn 2:15-17]

When one’s faith is not solely rooted in THE LORD, they hinder the effectiveness of HIS word and work in their life. Idolatry, sorcery, and witchcraft are fueled by fear, anxiety, impatience, materialism and selfishness.

The Lord Jesus said,

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
For where your treasure is, there will heart be also.
[Mt 6:19-21]

If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for My sake shall find it.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
[Mt 16:24-26]

Per His parable of The Rich Fool the Lord Jesus expounds upon the consequence of focusing on building temporal assets with no regard to the eternal assets in God.

The Lord Jesus said,

Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
And He spake a parable unto them, saying,
The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:
And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do because I have no room where to bestow my fruits?
And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow my fruits and my goods.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years: take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
[Lk 12:15-21]

The Lord Jesus also said,

In your patience possess ye your souls.
[Lk 21:19]

Idolatry causes one to inherit the Second Death with Lucifer and all fallen angels. Apostle John writes,

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is The Second Death.
[Rev 21:8]

Steadfast adherence to the teachings of Christ with thanksgiving and using the divine weapons of spiritual warfare keeps one victorious over idolatry. The Lord Jesus said,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My Disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
[Jn 8:31, 32]
Apostle Paul writes,

(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
[II Cor 10:4, 5]

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might.
Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace:
Above all taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God:
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
[Eph 6:10-18]

In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
[I Thes 5:18]

Nothing is more rewarding than exclusive worship unto Yahweh, which is the primary purpose of all mortals.

King Solomon writes,

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep HIS commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[Eccl 12:13]

The Lord Jesus said,

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
[St Jn 4:23, 24]

No beneficial thing will Yahweh withhold from those who wholeheartedly worship HIM through the strength of Christ the Word. King David writes,

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will HE withhold from them that walk uprightly.
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in THEE.
[Ps 84:11, 12]
