Lesson 32 of 77
Divine Teachers Pt 2
{See Lessons 14, 47, 57, 67}
By Lawrence DeMetrius
The brethren of Christ are predestined, called, justified, and glorified by Yahweh. Apostle Paul writes,
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.
For whom HE did foreknow, HE also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of HIS Son, that He <Christ> might be the Firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom HE <Yahweh> did predestinate, them HE also called: and whom HE called, them HE also justified: and whom HE justified, them HE also glorified.
[Rm 8:28-30]
The brethren of Christ are redeemed spirits who hear and positively respond to the voice of Christ their Good Shepherd. Apostle John writes,
And when He <Christ> putteth forth His Own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.
I am the Good Shepherd, and know My sheep, and am known of Mine.
My sheep hear My voice and I know them, and they follow Me.
And I give unto them eternal life: and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.
My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all <including Christ Himself>; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.
I and My Father are One.
[Jn 10:4, 5, 14, 27-30]
Yahweh equips and commissions the brethren of Christ as Divine Teachers, who with accuracy and simplicity, expound upon the Holy Scriptures, namely the testimony and doctrine of Jesus Christ.
Prophet Isaiah writes,
The LORD GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: HE wakeneth morning by morning, HE wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
[Isa 50:4]
The Lord Jesus said,
What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach you upon the housetops.
[Mt 10:27]
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
[Mt 28:19, 20]
The ministries of the brethren of Christ are extensions of Yahweh’s universal Ministry of Divine Iconoclasm. Prophet Daniel writes,
And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
[Dan 12:3]
Apostle Paul writes,
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto HIMSELF, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us <the brethren of Christ> the Word of Reconciliation.
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
For HE hath made Him <Christ> to be sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.
[II Cor 5:19, 20]
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of HIS good pleasure.
That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of GOD, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;
Holding forth <Christ> the Word of Life…
[Phil 2:13, 15, 16a]
The geographical location to which Yahweh assigns them is already cultivated and ripe for harvest. The Lord Jesus said,
The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;
Pray ye therefore the LORD OF THE HARVEST, that HE will send forth laborers into HIS harvest.
[Mt 9:37, 38]
Yahweh’s Holy Oracles are Divine Teachers who are recognized by the words they teach and obey. Apostle Peter writes,
If any man speak, let him speak as THE ORACLES OF GOD; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: <Why?> that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to Whom be praise and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
[I Pet 4:11]
The Lord Jesus said,
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
[Mt 5:14-16, 19]
