Lesson 26 of 77
Let Christ the Divine Light Shine Within
{See Lessons 27, 30, 31, 35}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

One’s mind is either enlightened by Christ the Word or it’s not. Apostle John writes,
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not the Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He came unto His Own, and His Own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[St Jn 1:6-13]

The Lord Jesus said,

I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Ye are from beneath: I am from above: Ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am He, ye shall die in your sins.
[Jn 8:12, 23, 24]

I am come a light into the world that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.
[Jn 12:46]

When Christ the Word and true Light illuminates one’s mind, He fills their entire being with revelation, knowledge and understanding of divine truth.
The Lord Jesus said,

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
[Mt 6:22, 23]

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
[Mt 11:28-30]

Apostle Paul writes,

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
In whom the god of this world <Lucifer> hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, Who is the Image of God, should shine unto them.
[II Cor 4:3, 4]

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of HIS calling, and what the riches of the glory of HIS inheritance in the saints.
And what is the exceeding greatness of HIS power to us ward who believe, according to the working of HIS mighty power.
Which HE wrought in Christ, when HE raised Him from the dead, and set Him at HIS OWN right hand in the heavenly places…
[Eph 1:17-19]

The insight that Christ imparts unto His Brethren liberates and protects them from ignorance and miseducation concerning spiritual and divine truth.

The Lord Jesus said,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My Disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]

As one continues in the insight that Christ imparts unto them, they secure to themselves the promise of abundant and eternal life given by Yahweh. The Lord Jesus said,

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly
[Jn 10:10]

Apostle John writes,

Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
And this is the promise that HE hath promised us, even eternal life.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
[I Jn 2:24-26]

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know HIM that is true, and we are in HIM that is true, even in HIS Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
[I Jn 5:20]

Although Yahweh’s mercies are new every morning and HIS faithfulness great toward all, each individual must decide for themselves to be wholeheartedly submitted to HIM through Christ and to resist all agents of evil. The Lord Jesus said,

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
[Mt 6:24]

And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
[St Jn 3:19, 20]

Apostle James writes,

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Draw nigh to God, and HE will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded.
Humble yourselves in the sight of the LORD, and HE shall lift you up.
[Jam 4:7, 8, 10]

Apostle Paul writes,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
[Rm 12:1, 2]

Prophet Jeremiah writes,

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness.
The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore, will I hope in HIM.
The LORD is good unto them that wait for HIM, to the soul that seeketh HIM.
It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
[Lam 3:22-26]

Yahweh said through Prophet Ezekiel,

Behold, all souls are MINE; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is MINE: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all MY statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live.
Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the LORD GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
Yet ye say, The way of the LORD is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not MY way equal? Are not your ways unequal?
When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.
Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.
Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Yet saith the house of Israel, the way of the LORD is not equal. O house of Israel are not MY ways equal? Are not your ways unequal?
Therefore, I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the LORD GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.
Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the LORD GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
[Eze 18:4, 20-32]

Everyone who sees the truth lives to Let Christ the Divine Light Shine Within. To them the Lord Jesus says,

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
[Mt 5:14-16]
