Lesson 39 of 77
Divine Condemnation and Wrath
{See Lessons 3, 13, 36, 43}
By Lawrence DeMetrius
All mortals are made to recognize Yahweh's sovereignty and intolerance of sin. Apostle Paul writes,
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
For the invisible things of HIM from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even HIS eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Because that, when they knew God, they glorified HIM not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[Rm 1:18-21]
Because THE LORD has made a way of escape from the power of sin, there is no excuse as to why any mortal should not subject themselves to it. Yahweh has made Christ to be the propitiation for their sins. Apostle John writes,
For God so loved the world, that HE gave HIS only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[St Jn 3:16]
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous:
And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours <born-again believers> only but also for the sins of the whole world.
[I Jn 2:1, 2]
The daily challenge for born-again believers is to maintain victory over the power of sin, by faith filled obedience to Yahweh’s directives, as given through HIS scribes and prophets, from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles. The Lord Jesus said,
If ye continue in My word, then are ye Me disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]
By rejecting Yahweh’s instruction, one keeps upon themselves Divine Condemnation and Wrath that was only purposed for Lucifer and all fallen angels. Apostle John writes,
He that believeth on Him <Christ> is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name <identify, authority and character> of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light <Christ, the Light of all nations> is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
[St Jn 3:18-20]
Apostle Paul writes,
But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil…
But glory, honor, and peace, to every man that worketh good…
For there is no respect of persons with God.
[Rm 2:8-11]
Those who reject divine counsel remain captives of Lucifer and will inherit the Second Death with him.
The Lord Jesus said,
Then shall He <Christ the Judge> say also unto them on the left hand <rejectors of God and Christ>, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
[Mt 25:41]
Apostle John writes,
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
[St Jn 3:36]
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin.
Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He <Christ> is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifest, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for HIS <Yahweh’s> Seed <Christ> remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
[I Jn 3:4-10]
And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And whosoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
[Rev 20:10, 15]
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
[Rev 21:8]
Those who learn and obey Yahweh’s instruction make and keep themselves free of all lying persuasions, condemnation and wrath. Apostle Paul writes,
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus, hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
[Rm 8:1, 2]
And the servant of THE LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves: if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth:
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
[II Tim 2:24-26]
Every mortal is given opportunity to repent of their personal wrongdoings. By doing so, they can enjoy the right to always be forgiven for any forgivable sin, and be cleansed from the residue thereof, with the Blood of Jesus Christ. Apostle John writes,
But if we walk in THE LIGHT <Yahweh>, as He <Christ> is in THE LIGHT, we have fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ HIS Son cleanseth us from all sin.
If we say that we have not sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we confess our sins, HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
If we say that we have not sinned, we make HIM a liar, and HIS Word is not in us.
[I Jn 1:7-10]
As HE did in the days of Noah, Yahweh now invites all souls to re-enter a favorable relationship with HIM. Therefore, all mortals are admonished to believe HIS word regarding HIS plans for the world, accept HIS invitation and escape HIS Divine Condemnation and Wrath. Apostle Peter writes,
THE LORD is not slack concerning HIS promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of THE LORD will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
[II Pet 3:9, 10]
