Lesson 35 of 77
The Spirt of Divine Enlightenment
{See Lessons 15, 35, 56, 74}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

To ‘SEE’ in a SPIRITUAL sense is ‘TO UNDERSTAND’. Therefore, to 'SEE' the meaning of a thing is to 'UNDERSTAND' it. The Elect of God are to pray for the ability to clearly 'SEE' or ‘UNDERSTAND’ the words HE has provisioned to them, through HIS Scribes and Prophets from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles. THE LORD imparts such insight unto HIS worshipers through scriptural study, Holy Ghost revelation, and everyday life experience. HE expects them to govern themselves accordingly through the divine strength. Concerning the inheritance of this gratuity Apostle Paul prayed,

That HE <Yahweh> would grant you, according to the riches of HIS glory, to be strengthened with might by HIS Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith: that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
Unto HIM be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
[Eph 3:16-21]

In regard to steadfast commitment to scriptural study, as a prerequisite to receiving liberty, and fuller understanding of the truths thereof the Lord Jesus said,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My Disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]

Apostle Paul writes concerning the value of personal scriptural study,

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[II Tim 2:15]

And that from a child thou <Pastor Timothy> hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
[II Tim 3:15-17]

Concerning sincere belief in the scriptures as a prerequisite to inheriting the Holy Ghost and His guidance in one’s life the Lord, Jesus said,

He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
<Apostle John explains> (But this spake He <Christ> of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
[Jn 7:38, 39]

Regarding the Holy Ghost as a Teacher and Guide for His Brethren on earth the Lord Jesus said,

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[Jn 14:26]

Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He shall shew you things to come.
[Jn 16:13]

Per His decree to those who supported His Crucifixion, Apostle Peter reiterates that the Holy Ghost is only given to them who obey Christ the Word saying,

The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, Whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.
Him hath God exalted with HIS right hand to be a Prince and a Savior, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
And we are HIS witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, Whom God hath given to them that obey Him <Christ>.
[Acts 5:30-32]

Apostle Paul reiterates that only those who are led by the Holy Ghost belong to Christ and are true sons of God saying,

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
[Rm 8:9, 14]

One’s thoughts remain concealed to others until they reveal them. This is true of Yahweh concerning HIS thoughts and will. In times past, THE LORD revealed such through HIS prophets. However, HE began speaking more directly to people of the last generations, through Christ the Word and the Holy Ghost. Namely to those who desire to wholeheartedly worship HIM. King David writes,

The secret of the LORD is with them that fear HIM; and HE will shew them HIS covenant.
[Ps 25:14]

The New Testament notes,

GOD, WHO at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, Whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also HE made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the MAJESTY on high;
[Heb 1:1-3]

Apostle Paul writes,

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.
But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
For who hath known the mind of the LORD, that he may instruct HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
[I Cor 2:9-16]

Only the true sons of God will believe and submit to the words spoken by Yahweh through HIS Scribes, Prophets, and Teachers from Enoch to Christ and His Original Apostles. As they are HIS sons, HE has given the Holy Ghost to be their Guide on earth as He is The Spirit of Divine Enlightenment.
