Christ, The Acceptable Righteousness and Power of Salvation

Upon completing His mission at Calvary, Christ Jesus was established by Yahweh as the only Acceptable Righteousness and Power of Salvation for mortals. Apostle Paul writes,

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; …
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
[Rm 1:16a, 17]

But the righteousness of God without the law is manifest, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, to declare HIS Righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time HIS Righteousness: that HE might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[Rm 3:21-26]

But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
But of HIM <Yahweh> are ye in Christ Jesus, Who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
[I Cor 1:24, 30]

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith OF Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith OF Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
[Gal 2:16, 20]
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
[Rm 10:4]

Yahweh first revealed Christ as the Source of Righteousness and Power of Salvation for the righteous, who reside on earth. HE did so through the ministry of Enoch who writes,

And at that hour that Son of Man was named.
In the presence of the Lord of Spirits <Yahweh>.
And His Name before the Head of Days <Yahweh>.
Yea, before the sun and the signs were created. Before the stars of the heaven were made.
His Name was named before the Lord of Spirits.
He shall be a staff to the righteous whereon to stay themselves and not fall.
And He shall be the light of the Gentiles,
And the hope of those who are troubled of heart.
All who dwell on earth shall fall down and worship before Him.
And will praise and bless and celebrate with song The Lord of Sprits.
And for this reason hath He <Christ> been chosen and hidden before HIM <Yahweh>, before the creation of the world and forevermore.
And the wisdom of the Lord of Spirits hath revealed Him to the holy and righteous; for He hath preserved the lot of the righteous, because they have hated and despised this world of unrighteousness, and have hated all its works and ways in the Name of the Lord of
Spirits: for in HIS NAME they are saved, and according to HIS good pleasure hath it been in regard to their life.

Superficial righteousness has always been detestable and unnecessary in Yahweh’s perspective. Prophet Isaiah writes,

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
[Isa 64:6]


Apostle Paul writes in regard to Israel that which applies to all religious peoples,

Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God <Christ Jesus>.
[Rm 10:1-3]

The Lord Jesus is clear in declaring Himself as the Means by which the redeemed are empowered to live in righteousness and power, saying,

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
[St Jn 4:23, 24]

I am the Vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
[Jn 15:5]

Christ said to Apostle Paul what is true for all His brethren,

My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.
[II Cor 12:9]

Continual adherence and obedience to the true teachings of Christ, should be the highest priority of a true believer’s life, as He alone is appointed by Yahweh to be their Acceptable Righteousness and Power. The Lord Jesus said,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]
