The Prize of Spiritual Perfection

Jesus Christ admonished His brethren to pursuit above all things substance that will nourish them to spiritual maturity. He said,

Labor not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for Him hath God the Father sealed.
[Jn 6:27]

The pursuit and acquisition of spiritual substance requires full submission of one’s holistic being to Yahweh through Jesus Christ. Apostle Paul writes,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
[Rm 12:1, 2]

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly: And I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
[I Thes 5:23]

Substance required for spiritual perfection is only imparted by Yahweh through Christ. No mortal can obtain spiritual perfection on their own accord. The Lord Jesus said,

I am the Vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
[Jn 15:5]

All mortals, be they redeemed or not, fall short of the glory due to Yahweh because of their sin flawed nature. Apostle Paul writes,

For all have sinned, and come short <present tense> of the glory of God;
[Rm 3:23]

It is only due to Yahweh’s mercy and grace that spiritual perfection is possible to through faith filled obedience to Christ. Prophet Jeremiah writes,

It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not.
They are new every morning: great is THY faithfulness.
[Lam 3:22, 23]

Apostle Paul writes,

Being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Whom God hath sent forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, to declare HIS righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that HE might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[Rm 3:24-26]

Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By Whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
[Rm 5:1, 2]

Yahweh loves and wills that every mortal spirit acquires spiritual perfection, and live in eternal bliss before HIM in Christ. This is why He sent Christ to restore unto them power to properly fulfill their whole duty again, which is to worship HIM in spirit and truth. King Solomon writes,

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep HIS commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
[Eccl 12:13]
The Lord Jesus said,

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
[St Jn 4:23, 24]

Apostle Peter writes,

The LORD is not slack concerning HIS promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
[II Pet 3:9]

As all are granted by Yahweh to obtain HIS unmerited favor through Christ, let every mortal spirit be admonished to strive for The Prize of Spiritual Perfection. Apostle Paul writes,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
[Phil 3:14, 15]
