Lesson 56 of 77
Divine Interpretation of The Holy Scriptures
{See Lessons 15, 35, 41, 47, 50, 56, 74}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Yahweh imparts the ability to fully comprehend the Holy Scriptures, and invites all souls to receive it through Christ Who said,

Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.
[Mt 11:28-30]

These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.
Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
[Lk 24:44, 45]

Apostle Paul writes,

GOD, WHO at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, Whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also HE made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the MAJESTY on high;
[Heb 1:1-3]

The Lord Jesus offers the promise of liberating truth to all who continue in His words saying,

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:12, 31, 32, 36]
Apostle Paul writes,

And the servant of THE LORD must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves: if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth:
And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
[II Tim 2:24-26]

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
[II Tim 3:16, 17]

Continual adherence and obedience to righteous principles, as provisioned by Yahweh through HIS scribes and prophets, from Enoch to Jesus Christ and His Original Apostles, prove and secure one’s relationship to HIM as HIS son and exclusive worshiper. Apostle John writes,

He <Christ> came unto His Own, and His Own received Him not.
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[St Jn 1:11-13]

The Lord Jesus said,

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship HIM must worship HIM in spirit and in truth.
[St Jn 4:23, 24]

Apostle John writes,

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore, the world knoweth us not, because it knew Him not.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as He <Christ> is pure.
[I Jn 3:1-3]

Whosever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth HIM that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of HIM.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep HIS commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep HIS commandments: and HIS commandments are not grievous.
We know that whosever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
[I Jn 5:1-3, 18]

Continual adherence and obedience to Yahweh’s directives, keeps one pure before HIM and equipped for HIS use. The Lord Jesus said,

Sanctify them through THY Truth: THY Word is Truth.
[Jn 17:17]

In times past, cleanliness and sanctification were only possible with blood sacrifices of certain beasts. However, today it is only possible with faith in the Blood of Christ and continuance in His doctrine. Apostle Paul writes,

But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by HIS grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His Blood, to declare HIS righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
To declare, I say, at this time HIS righteousness: that HE might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
[Rm 3:21-26]
Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel <and all nations> is, that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.
[Rm 10:1-4]

Prophet Isaiah writes,

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind have taken us away.
[Isa 64:6]

Those who faithfully obey Yahweh’s directives secure the Crown of Eternal Life. The Lord Jesus said,

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept My word, and hast not denied My Name.
Because thou hast kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
[Rev 3:8, 10]

True believers, worshipers and sons of Yahweh are also promised the Gift and guidance of the Holy Ghost. Apostle John writes,

If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.
He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
(But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified)
[Jn 7:37-39]
Not only is the Holy Ghost given to be a Comforter and Witness of their sonship to THE LORD, but He also reveals that which Yahweh has for them now and forevermore. Apostle Paul writes,

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM.
But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
[I Cor 2:9, 10]

The Lord Jesus said,

But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, Whom the Father will send in My Name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
[Jn 14:26]

Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.
These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
At that day ye shall ask in My Name; and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:
For the Father HIMSELF loveth you, because ye have loved Me, and have believed that I came out from God.
I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.
[Jn 16:13, 25-28]

In regard to anyone claiming exclusive interpretation of the Holy Scriptures, Apostle Peter writes,

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
[II Pet 1:20]

Per The Parable of The Sower, Christ admonishes all souls to pursuit the fuller understanding of divine words, immediately upon encountering them.

The Lord Jesus said,

Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
When any one heareh the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
Yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word by and by he is offended.
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, and some thirty.
[Mt 13:18-23]

In regard to seeking and distributing divine wisdom and the Giver thereof, Christ said,

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs <idolaters>, neither cast ye your pearls before swine <idolaters>, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask HIM.
[Mt 7:6-11]

In regard to Yahweh being the rewarder of those who diligently seek HIM, Apostle Paul writes,

But without faith it is impossible to please HIM: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.
[Heb 11:6]

Apostle James writes,

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of THE LORD.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
[Jam 1:5-8]

Little scriptural knowledge renders little divine revelation. Only those who are given to continual adherence, obedience and effective study of the Holy Scriptures are endowed with fuller understanding thereof. Apostle Paul writes,

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[II Tim 2:15]

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
[Heb 5:12-14]
