Lesson 59 of 77
Innate Nature Pt 2: Intimate Relations
{See Lessons 4, 44, 45, 58}
By Lawrence DeMetrius

Apostle Paul likens the degree of one’s innate sexual passion to a PROPER GIFT that is given of Yahweh. He said,

For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every many hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.
[I Cor 7:7]

*proper Gk #2398 idios (id-ee-os) it means pertaining to self, one’s own, private and separate

*gift Gk #5486 charisma (khar-is-mah) it is…
• a divine gratuity and deliverance from danger or passion
• specifically, a spiritual endowment
• subjectively a religious qualification
• objectively a miraculous faculty
• a free gift

One’s PROPER GIFTING per this passage refers to their INNATE sexual desires, tendency and interaction. This idea is presented by Apostle Paul, per his teaching on marriage and sex as it relates to born-again believers. In that sex and sexuality is a major element of mortality and that everyone’s PROPER GIFT is not the same, it is important for individuals to seek THE LORD concerning their personal disposition regarding. According to the Holy Scriptures, sexual intercourse within a marriage, that is ordained by Yahweh, is the most honorable resolution for many reasons. However, the Scriptures and life experience make it is clear, that one’s marital status does not assure their fidelity, feeling of completeness, or satisfaction with their spouse. Many married persons seek physical, mental, and emotional comfort through extramarital affairs. In fact, many marriages fail because they were not ordained by Yahweh in the first place. Prior to nurturing an intimate relationship, one should consider if it will be beneficial for them in the long run. They should realistically consider if the relationship will support or hinder their spiritual well-being and divine purpose.
Also, one must be willing, ready, and able to contribute what will be necessary to support the stability of the relationship. Most importantly, the relationship must always welcome the LORD’S glory, intervention and be instrumental in fulfilling HIS will for each partner. If the relationship lacks any of these qualities it might be best to forgo it. Diligent scriptural study and divine revelation, reveal that marriage is not fitting for some individuals. Christ mentions this briefly in His discourse on marriage and divorce. It is truth that will only be accepted by those to whom it applies. In His rebuttal with unbelieving Hebrews, the Lord Jesus addresses the sacredness of marriage and the unique few for whom it may not be suitable. Apostle Matthew writes,

The Pharisees also came unto Him, tempting Him, and saying unto Him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that HE which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they twain shall be one flesh?
Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
They say unto Him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away?
He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.
And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
His disciples say unto Him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
But He said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother’s womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.
[Mt 19:3-12]

Many years ago, Yahweh extended an awesome benefit to EUNUCHS who choose to live in a manner that is pleasing unto HIM. HE said through Prophet Isaiah,

…neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep MY sabbaths, and choose the things that please ME, and take hold of MY covenant.
Even unto them will I give in MINE house and within MY walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
[Isa 56:3-5]

THE LORD prefers for HIS children to nurture beneficial relationships. By divine design, no mortal is exempt from the need to give and receive some degree of affection. Beneficial relationships, namely those of an intimate nature, provides comfort, support, and excellent productivity. King Solomon writes,

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
[Eccl 4:9-12]

The Lord Jesus prompted partnership in ministry amongst His disciples during His mission on earth. Apostle Luke writes,

After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also, and sent them two and two before His Face into every city and place, whither He Himself would come.
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through Thy Name.
[Lk 10:1, 17]

Again, I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of My Father which is in heaven.
For where two or three are gathered together in My Name, there am I in the midst of them.
[Mt 18:19, 20]

It is important to note that sexual intercourse is not required to express affection within an intimate relationship. However, when mortals engage therein, they should only do so in genuine love and respect. Intent other than this is usually demonically influenced and purposed to inflict some degree of physical, mental, and emotional hurt. Apostle Paul writes,

Let all your things be done with charity.
[I Cor 16:14]

Neither give place to the devil.
[Eph 4:27]

Yahweh is THE ULTIMATE SOURCE of love, trust, comfort, and support for all, especially those who wholeheartedly worship HIM. Through their genuine devotion toward HIM, HE empowers them to effectively govern every aspect of their life, including Intimate Relations. Apostle Paul writes,

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[Rm 12:1]

And the very God of peace sanctify wholly: and I pray God your whole spirit, and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Faithful is HE that calleth you, WHO also will do it.
[I Thes 5:23, 24]

Apostle James writes,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[Jam 4:7]

In regard to physical intimacy between the male and female species, namely the human species, Yahweh created each one individual and whole. Moses writes,

And God said, Let US make MAN in OUR image, after OUR likeness:
So God created man in HIS OWN image, in the image of God created HE HIM; male and female created HE them.
[Gen 1:26a, 27]

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
[Gen 2:7]

While Adam co-habited with and cared for many species, he needed one that was compatible for himself, as the first male human species. Of course, this resolution was Eve, who per Moses’s account, is the first female human species. Moses writes,

And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made HE a woman, and brought her unto the man.
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore, shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
[Gen 2:18, 21-24]

Per Enoch, the reason why Yahweh created the male and female species on earth, namely mortals, was to enable them to reproduce their specific kind. Without this arrangement, no species on earth would continue to exist.
Enoch writes,

Therefore, have I given them <male mortals> wives also that they might impregnate them, and beget children by them, that thus nothing might be wanting to them on earth.
[Eno 15:5, 6]
