From Servant to Son

Christ the Word is the divine Deity Who chose to experience full mortality, to redeem mortals from the power of sin and death. His self-sacrifice made their spiritual regeneration and reconciliation back to Yahweh possible. The New Testament notes,

For as much then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He also Himself likewise took part of the same: that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil.
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily He took not on Him the nature of angels; but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behooved Him to be made like unto His brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succor them that are tempted.
[Heb 2:14-18]

In burn offerings and sacrifices for sin THOU hast had no pleasure.
Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of Me,) to do THY will, O God.
Above when He said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin THOU wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Then said He, Lo, I come to do THY will, O God. He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second.
By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the Body of Jesus Christ once for all.
For by one offering He hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
[Heb 10:6-10, 14]

Christ the Word existed with Yahweh prior to all creation, and is the Means by which Yahweh made all things. Apostle John writes,

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word with God, and the Word was God.
The Same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by Him; and without was not anything made that was made.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of graced and truth.
[St Jn 1:1-3, 14]
The Lord Jesus prayed to Yahweh saying,

Father, I will that they also, whom THOU hast given Me, be with Me where I am that they may behold My glory which THOU hast given Me: for THOU lovest Me before the foundation of the world.
[Jn 17:24]

Not only did Yahweh create all things by and for Christ, HE also gave Christ authority over them. The Lord Jesus said,

All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.
[Mt 28:18]

Apostle Paul writes,

<Christ the Word> Who is the image of the invisible God, the Firstborn of every creature:
For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones or dominions, or principalities, or power; all things were created by Him, and for Him:
And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
[Col 1:15-17]

Mortals who receive Christ into their hearts as Savior, Lord and Master Teacher, become the innocent children of God. Apostle John writes,

<Christ the Word> That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He came unto His Own, and His Own received Him not.
But as many as received Him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
[St Jn 1:9-13]

There are anti-Christ teachers and doctrines that acknowledge Christ, but not to the extent of being Who He is according to the Holy Scriptures. Only true prophets and scribes of Yahweh will plainly proclaim this truth. Concerning Christ and His Preeminence Enoch writes,

And there I saw ONE WHO had a Head of Days, and HIS head was white like wool, and with HIM was another Being Whose countenance had the appearance of a man, and His face was full of graciousness, like one of the holy angels.
[Eno 46:1]


For wisdom is poured out like water, and glory faileth not before Him forevermore.
For He is mighty in all the secrets of righteousness, and unrighteousness shall disappear as a shadow, and have no continuance; because the Elect One standeth before THE LORD OF SPIRITS, and His glory is forever and ever, and His might unto all generations.
And in Him dwells the spirit of wisdom, and the spirit which gives insight, and the spirit of understanding and of might, and the spirit of those who have fallen asleep in righteousness.
And He shall judge the secret things, and none shall be able to utter a lying word before Him; for He is the Elect One before THE LORD OF SPIRITS according to HIS good pleasure.
[Eno 49]

Prophet Isaiah writes,

Therefore, the LORD HIMSELF shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His Name Immanuel.
[Isa 7:14]

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of THE LORD OF HOSTS will perform this.
[Isa 9:6, 7]

Apostle Paul writes,

But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth HIS Son, made of a woman, made under the law.
[Gal 4:4]

All doctrines that do not acknowledge Christ as the scriptures do, are agents of the anti-Christ spirit. Apostle John writes,

Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, that same hath not the Father: {but} he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
[I Jn 2:18, 19, 22, 23, 26]

The anti-Christ spirit and its doctrines, were taught about long before the Flood of Noah’s Day. Enoch writes,

And now, the giants who are produced from the spirits and flesh, shall be called evil spirits upon the earth, and on the earth shall be their dwelling. Evil spirits have proceeded from their bodies; because they are born from men and from the holy Watchers is their beginning and primal origin; they shall be evil spirits on earth, and evil spirits shall they be called, [And for the spirits of heaven, in heaven shall be their dwelling, but as for the spirits of the earth which were born upon the earth, on the earth shall be their dwelling.] And the spirits of the giants afflict, oppress, destroy, attack, do battle, and hunger and thirst, and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the women because they have proceeded from them.
[Eno 15:8-12]

And now, my son Methuselah, all these things I am recounting to thee and writing down for thee! And I have revealed to thee everything, and given thee books concerning all these: so preserve, my son Methuselah, the books from thy father’s hand, and (see) that thou deliver them to the generation of the world.
I have given wisdom to thee and to thy children, [and thy children that shall be to thee], that they may give it to their children for generations, this wisdom (namely) that passeth their thought.
And those who understand it shall not sleep, but shall listen with the ear that they may learn this wisdom, and it shall please those that eat thereof better than good food.
[Eno 82:1-3]

The book written by Enoch – [Enoch indeed wrote this complete doctrine of wisdom, (which is) praised of all men and a judge of all the earth] for all my children who shall dwell on the earth. And for the future generations who shall observe uprightness and peace.
[Eno 92:1]

Woe to you who set at naught the words of the righteous; for ye shall have no hope of life. Woe to you who write down lying and godless words; for they write down their lies that men may hear them and act godlessly toward (their) neighbor. Therefore, they shall have no peace but die a sudden death.
[Eno 98:14-16]

Woe to you who work godlessness; and glory in lying and extol them: Ye shall perish, and no happy life shall be yours.
Woe to them who pervert the words of uprightness, and transgress the eternal law,
And transform themselves into what they were not [into sinners]: they shall be trodden under foot upon the earth.
[Eno 99:1, 2]

Some anti-Christ doctrines are so subtle, they can deceive even the very elect. The Lord Jesus said,

For many SHALL come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and SHALL deceive many.
And many false prophets SHALL rise, and SHALL deceive many.
For there SHALL arise false Christs, and false prophets, and SHALL shew great signs, and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they SHALL deceive the very Elect.
[Mt 24:5, 11, 24]

The only way to avoid seductions of the anti-Christ spirit is to remain fully committed to effective scriptural study. The Lord Jesus said,

These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning Me.
Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures.
[Lk 24:44, 45]

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth My word, and believeth on HIM that sent Me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.
[St Jn 5:24, 39]

If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.
He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
<Apostle John reiterates> (But this speak He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
[Jn 7:37a-39]

If ye continue in My word, then are ye My disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]


Apostle Paul writes,

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
[II Tim 2:15]

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
[II Tim 3:12-17]

Apostle John writes,

Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God; Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus
Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
They are of the world: therefore, speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
[I Jn 4:1-6]

Upon completing His mission at Calvary, Christ was exalted by Yahweh to the status of SON, which is the highest position of honor bestowed upon a servant within HIS kingdom. The book of Hebrews notes,

God, WHO at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, Whom HE hath appointed heir of all things by Whom also HE made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of HIS person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they,
For unto which of the angels said HE at any time, Thou are MY Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to ME a Son?
And again, when HE bringeth in the First begotten into the world, HE saith, and Let all the angels of God worship Him.
And of the angels HE saith, Who maketh HIS angels spirits, and HIS ministers a flame of fire.
But unto the Son HE saith, Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.
And, Thou, Lord hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thine hands:
They shall perish; but Thou remainest; and they shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a vesture shalt Thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but Thou art the same, and Thy years shall not fail.
But to which of the angels said HE at any time, Sit on MY right hand, until I make Thine enemies Thy footstool?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
