Lesson 77 of 77
Faith That Works
{See Lessons 46, 57}
By Lawrence DeMetrius
Divine faith is belief in Yahweh even though HE is invisible. Apostle Paul writes,
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
But without faith it is impossible to please HIM <Yahweh>: for he that cometh to God must believe that HE is, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM.
[Heb 11:1, 6]
Jesus Christ was the only mortal born into the earth realm Who has seen Yahweh’s true form. Apostle John writes,
No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared HIM.
[St Jn 1:18]
No man hath seen God at any time.
[I Jn 4:12a]
The Lord Jesus said,
Not that any man hath seen the Father, save He <Jesus Christ> which is of God, He hath seen the Father.
[Jn 6:46]
In fact, Christ is the brightness of Yahweh’s glory and the express image of HIS PERSON. He said to Apostle Philip when he asked Christ to show him the FATHER,
Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou Then, Shew us the Father?
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of Myself: but the Father that dwelleth in Me, HE doeth the works.
[Jn 14:9, 10]
Apostle Paul writes,
GOD, WHO at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, Whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by Whom also HE made the worlds;
Who being the brightness of HIS glory, and the express image of His Person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He <Christ> had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
[Heb 1:1-3]
Those who believe in Christ, as the Scriptures have said, are also empowered to reflect Yahweh’s glory on earth from their spirit nature, through Christ and the Holy Ghost. Apostle John writes,
If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.
He that believeth on Me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
<Apostle John reiterates> (But this spake He of the Spirit, which they that believe on Him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
[Jn 7:37-39]
The primary goal of anti-Christ teachers and doctrines, is to sway mortals away from believing in Jesus Christ as the scriptures have said. Apostle John writes,
Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Let that therefore abide you which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
And this is the promise that He hath promised us, even eternal life.
These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
[I Jn 2:18-26]
Satanic powers know that mortals who do not wholeheartedly submitted to Yahweh through faith in Christ, will die in their sins. The Lord Jesus said,
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deed may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
[St Jn 3:19-21, 36]
Apostle James writes,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
[Jam 4:7]
It is continual obedience to the teachings of Jesus Christ that empowers His Brethren to overcome the challenges of satanic powers, on a daily basis. He teaches them to pray daily for deliverance from these challenges, and how to overcome saying,
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
Take no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
[Mt 6:13a, 34]
If ye continue in My word, then are ye My Disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
[Jn 8:31, 32, 36]
Divine faith is initiated and perfected by Yahweh through Christ within each of HIS Elect. Apostle Paul who writes,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
[Heb 12:2]
Make you perfect in every good work to do HIS will, working in you that which is well pleasing in HIS sight, through Jesus Christ; to Who be glory forever and ever. Amen.
[Heb 13:21]
Divine faith empowers the Sons of God to respond in divine love toward the Holy Godhead, self, and all others in their life. Apostle John writes,
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth HIM that begat loveth Him also that is begotten of HIM.
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep HIS commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep HIS commandments: and HIS commandments are not grievous.
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
[I Jn 5:1-4]
Yahweh has many wonderful things in store for those choose to live before HIM through Christ in the Faith That Works. King David writes,
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shall thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.
Delight thyself also in the LORD; and HE shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in HIM; and HE shall bring it to pass.
[Ps 37:3-5]
O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in THEE.
[Ps 84:11]
